Any timeline on Jeffery?
I feel like we miss this guy and I haven't heard any news
Anyone know anything?

All I read was broken hand out 4-6 weeks.

I think we need dude back soon. Hopefully he can get at least a couple reps against the Titans, cause we're def. gonna need him against HOU and SF

In his short time here and in the NFL, he started to make a name for himself. A player that other teams will cover too. Players like that will be missed when they are ruled out for the games.
Do you think we should add another 2nd Round WR next year to our team? Could free up some Cap Space with trading Bennett or Hester (no, I don't want them gone) in this case... for a guy like LT Long.
Don't forget that we have Knox signed too. If he ever makes it back to the NFL

Depends on FA and Oline.
If the Oline improves so good that we might only need to bring in one guy in the FA(Jake Long/LT?) and we picked a MLB in 1th round then yes I belive that if a talnet like Jeffery shows up on Emerys radar he'll take him. Jeffery seems to be a real real steal we got there and if there is a chance of stealing another great WR I'm sure Emery will take it.
But it all depends on the Oline. I don't see us not taking a MLB in the next draft so the only "hope" is that we can draft a MLB in the first round and make a steal on a WR in 2th round.

No, we have absolutely no need for WR unless Jeffrey turns out to be a complete bust. Which I think just watching him play, he'll have his ups and down, but will find his ceiling in the not too distant future, and it won't be anywhere near his floor.

I agree, Henry. We have our #1 and #2. Then we have Bennett and Sanzenblockhead or whatever. Hester is a way overpaid #5 WR. We don't need any more, as long as we have 1 or 2 on the practice squad. In the next couple of drafts, we need to finish (start?) fixing our 0-line, and start getting people to replace the old-timers on D. Peppers, Briggs, Tillman only have a couple years left at peak performance. That will use up all of our picks. Can't waste them on positions we don't need. Unless of course we can find a steal.
We don't know what BU has left in the tank with his injury. If we win the SB this year, does he retire?

I doubt it. If we win, that means his knee has held up, and he should be good to go for at least another year.

Why would you trade one of the best possession receivers in the NFL and the best return specialist of all time and what do you think you'd get for them? No. You don't trade guys like that especially when you just signed one to a long extension.
You may free up cap space by trading Hester but losing a TD machine like he is on returns isn't a good way to do it. You free up cap space by getting rid of player you can't use like we did with CWill. Trading Bennett would actually cost us cap space not save cap space. The amount of his signing bonus we'd have to roll up would be twice what his salary is.
How do you know that you could get a WR in round two that would be any better than Earl Bennett? Sorry brother. Not a good idea.
I'm getting to that age where a lifetime warranty just doesn't mean as much to me anymore as an afternoon nap.
