Actually, scratch that...i dont chalk this win up to "heart." The Bears played like ass for 3 quarters, and took advantage of a couple of lucky breaks to take the lead in an 8 second span (the 6 yard punt, and Steve Smith slipping leading to Jennings picking off the pass).

It was an ugly win, thats the only way to describe it. I dont think the Bears won because they played harder, or had more heart.

Ill take the win, but this game showed how vulnerable we still are on Offense
    .

If to some not completely giving up means having "heart" then I'll not debate that part of it but Jimmors is a lot closer to the truth here. We.........got........LUCKY!

You all can drink all of that "heart" and "character" kool-aid you want but for the exception of two bad breaks by an All Pro WR and a defense that didn't adjust and take away those slant routes on the last drive we would have lost and that would have been just since we got our asses handed to us just about all game long.

Don't talk about championships until this offense finds a way to score points more often than they do.

Soul, that was one of the best comebacks I've ever seen yesterday. Winners win. Losers lose. It's what they do. We won.

Cutler did great when he needed to. I don't know if it was his ribs that was causing his inaccuracy early, but as soon as we went into that last two minutes, it all came together.
I didn't see much inaccuracy I saw sacks and dropped passes. He fit that third down pass to Spaeth into a tight window, hit him on the fly right in the hands where only he could get to it and he drops a big drive sustaining catch.

Hester did the same on a comeback route. Cutler threw low so there was no chance of a "pick for six" and Hester can't come up with it! Marshall had drop on another key third down play.

I can excuse Marshall since he makes far more tough catches than he drops but not the other two. Why is Hester even starting and why are we even throwing to Spaeth. Neither one can catch well.

Cutler is an incredibly talented and gutsy QB. Maybe too gutsy for his own good at times. But we have done far too little to offer him the best we can ever since he arrived. He's playing behind a line that still can't pass block well, still needing to throw to receivers he shouldn't have to and getting play calls from an OC that are a setup for disaster way too often.

Give the guy a break. If anyone on that offense has shown guts and character these past two games it's been him. He's the reason we manged a comeback win yesterday and still there's another article out there saying how he's the guy whose actually hurting the team.

Gimme a fucking break. Without him on offense and some superhuman efforts by the defense we'd be 1-6 right now instead of Carolina.

Cutler is Cutler. He's an above average quarterback who might be great if it wasn't for the fact that he has the league's worst offensive line protecting him. Our offensive line has managed to give up now 25 sacks in seven games, which means we're on pace to give up approximately the same number of sacks as the 2010 edition of the Bears did. This team's offense is about on par with that Bears' team that went to the NFC Championship Game, and just like that team, the defense bailed its ass out time and time again. WE SIMPLY CAN'T HAVE THE DEFENSE BAILING THIS TEAM OUT EVERY WEEK!!! Eventually, the defense will struggle to stop the opposing offense and we'll get absolutely crushed by a team like San Francisco or Houston. We have several games left against top-tier defenses, so that means Tice had better come up with a better plan of attack after next week's game against the Titans. (That is assuming we manage to win against the Titans.)

as long as we win I will not complain. Tice won't read this so it's useless to say he should run it a bit more often

I think Tices play calling sucks balls. I also think Jay Cutlers play calling/play sucks at times also Sorry but he looked real bad yet he should be a leader on the time trying to rally the team when they struggle. Other than that we are 6-1 and the Packers suck.

4th, why is that we agree on so many things, yet you manage to convey your messages in a much shorter and more concise fashion? Of course Cutler sucks a goodly portion of the time. If you were a quarterback in the NFL and you had to pick a place you could go play at, at least if it were me, Chicago wouldn't be one of those places because that's where quarterbacks go to die. Cutler has never had any pass protection since he's been with the Bears, but he did when he was in Denver. When he was in Denver, he was an All-Pro QB. Now, he's just an average quarterback not even able to complete 60% of his passes consistently because he doesn't have time to throw. Believe it or not, he seems to be doing worse with all the new receivers we have in the lineup than he did when he really had to concentrate on his lesser talented receivers in 2009-11. The offensive line is on pace to give up over 57 sacks this season, which is actually more than what it gave up in both 2010 AND 2011. This line has gotten worse with Tice and not better. Tice needs to be gone at the end of this year because of his poor playcalling and his inability to put together a good offensive line.

Webb is on pace to "only give up" approximately 11.4 sacks through 16 games this season. That's some information for you BBPB disciples out there.

Yep. You're definitely a football fan. At the risk of sounding like a hypocrite because I, myself, am a perfectionist, just be happy that we escaped with a win and move on. There's no need in ruminating over a "loss" when in fact we actually won the game.
