I just got back home from the game. What an exciting finish. How sweet it is to be 6-1. Five straight wins.

    Life is good

Jim, it was soooooooooooooooooooo exciting. The windows on N. Michigan Avenue had to have been shaking. The fans were singing "Bear Down" and dancing & celebrating that finish.

Great teams find a way to win - even when they have a tough day.

It was gut check time to the max. The Bears came up bigtime to seal the deal. Two touchdowns in an 8 second span. The fans were screaming ROBBIE, ROBBIE, ROBBIE when it came down to that last field goal with 2 seconds left on the clock. The wind was REALLY gusting all day on the field, so the FG was anything BUT a sure thing. Robbie slammed it home for the win anyway.

Oh, man. It was a great moment to be a Chicago Bears fan.

I bet it was exciting being there for comeback! Watching on TV was extremely frustrating for 52 minutes or so. The last 8 were unexpectedly amazing down to the last second! No Miller's pub after the game?

It would have been a great night to celebrate at Miller's Pub, but the wife and I had to head home right after the game.

For 3 quarters, the team just looked "off" for some reason. It wasn't on any one player or unit. It was one of those days where it was the "perfect storm" for a loss. Just about everything went wrong.

But the Bears simply refused to lose.

Great teams do that. 6-1 teams do that. They dig deep, and gut it out for the win. This team may have its faults, but it refuses to quit. Refuses to lose.

When I go to sleep tonight, I'm gonna be hearing those countless Bears fans singing "Bear Down Chicago Bears" and seeing them dancing like lunatics in celebration. It's a GREAT time to be a Chicago Bears fan.

We have people on this message board who are breaking down all of the statistical data in the game, trying to find where and why we won instead of finishing the game with a loss. The question cannot be answered. This team has a lot of heart. They didn't play well offensively the past two games, but they found ways to go get it done, even though it was ugly. We should win one way or another next week, and then it's throwing caution to the wind when we play Houston and San Francisco. Of those two games, I think the San Francisco game is the one we're most likely to win because their offense isn't all that good either. They run a lot, and Alex Smith is mostly a game manager, meaning he won't beat us with big plays most likely. That Houston game looks like it could get ugly for us as their offense will be the best that we'll probably see all year top-to-bottom.

I think there's a shot that we can win both of those games, but most likely, they'll have to be low-scoring efforts in order to make that happen.

I know exactly how you feel 99.My youngest daughter & I went to a Carolina Hurricanes game last year when they came from 2 goals down late in the 3rd period to win in OT. We were in the 1st 5 rows close to the glass. What an amazing feeling! Neither of us sleep much that night but we still had plenty of energy to feel great the next day.
    Go Bears!

Dags, you hit the nail on the head. This team has heart. They simply refuse to lose.

They are definitely a rough "work in progress" and struggled today. It was the "perfect storm" for a loss. But when it was gut check time they simply would not quit. All the talent in the world can't replace heart. We've seen that with the "dream teams" over the years who have failed.

    6-1

    NFC-N leaders.

    Five straight wins.

This team won't quit believing. Will the fans?

Unfortunately it took them 3 quarters to find this "heart."

Actually, scratch that...i dont chalk this win up to "heart." The Bears played like ass for 3 quarters, and took advantage of a couple of lucky breaks to take the lead in an 8 second span (the 6 yard punt, and Steve Smith slipping leading to Jennings picking off the pass).

It was an ugly win, thats the only way to describe it. I dont think the Bears won because they played harder, or had more heart.

Ill take the win, but this game showed how vulnerable we still are on Offense.
