Help is on the way! Bears could get Jeffery back in 2 weeks.
I am so thankful that he's coming back, and not a season-ending injury. We're a much better team with him on the field.

A Chicago Bears offense coming off a sputtering effort in the last two games has help on the way.
Wide receiver Alshon Jeffery will miss Sunday’s game at Tennessee, but the rookie playmaker could be available for the Nov. 11 game with the Texans or the Nov. 19 game at San Francisco. A source said Jeffery should return soon from the broken right hand that has sidelined him since the Oct. 7 win at Jacksonville in two weeks.
Jeffery left the locker room at Soldier Field after the 23-22 win over the Carolina Panthers on Sunday with a hard plastic brace on his healing hand. The Bears’ off week also gave him time to recover and it could be he misses only three games before returning to action.
“I wouldn’t even try to guess when he’s coming back,” Bears coach Lovie Smith said Monday. “I just know he’s making progress and we’re hopeful.”
The best news is Smith indicated Jeffery has remained in shape so that will not be a significant hurdle for him to get back on the playing field. He probably will need a week of practice before returning to action.
“I just know what he’s doing and you have to first off, stay in the game mentally, and he’s doing that,” Smith said. “Meetings and just even when you watch the game on the sidelines. Now you can watch the game from a different perspective to help your game, and staying in shape, keeping your conditioning up.
“He’s doing all the things you can do if you’re injured, and to be a good pro for years to come. You’re going to have an injury, you’re going to have to deal with it, so you’re going to have to learn this routine, which he’s doing. No complaints about him at all, can’t wait to get him back out there.”
Earl Bennett missed two games with a broken hand after he tried to play through his injury earlier in the season. Jeffery is third on the team with 14 receptions and second with 184 receiving yards and he has scored two touchdowns. He provides quarterback Jay Cutler with another big target opposite Brandon Marshall in the red zone where the offense has had struggles.
Getting Jeffery back in the mix when the schedule presents teams with strong records will be a boost. bmbiggs@tribune.com Twitter @BradBiggs

Best news today. I can't wait to see him back in action I've really been missing him. Two high towers on the field at the same time is so freakin' awesome. Just in time for the harder teams, we gonna need him.

That fits with the four week minimum. Be good to get him back, the last few weeks our offense has been abysmal without him.

I might just have to buy a jersey with the number 17 on it. This kid has impressed me so much. Does anyone else think our O problems have risen dramatically after his injury? He was getting open on plays, something Hester can't do and Bennett has trouble with. Don't know if it's cuz he's a rookie and our opponents have been focusing on BM or what, but he makes plays. Really can't wait for him to get back on the field.

Our top 3 receivers should be Marshall, Jeffery, and Bennett with Sanz/Weems splittin time coming in for rotation and Hester for like.. 5 plays a game? If I'm running the team (and there's a reason I'm not) I'd have that line-up and have Hester focus totally on returns. I'll take an elite return man over an average at best WR/return guy. Hester completely fresh is a night and day difference from the guy we see who gets thrown into the offense too much. I appreciate the work he puts in at WR but he's just not an NFL receiver.. can't we settle with the greatest return man ever? Can't have our cake and eat it too but we're trying.

Jeffery's Return.................
Bears could get Jeffery back in two weeks
By Brad Biggs, Tribune reporter 7:14 p.m. CDT, October 30, 2012
An offense coming off a sputtering effort in the previous two games has help coming soon.
Wide receiver Alshon Jeffery is expected to miss Sunday's game against the Titans in Tennessee but the rookie playmaker could be available for the Nov. 11 home game with the Texans or the Nov. 19 game against the 49ers in San Francisco. Jeffery should return from the broken right hand that has sidelined him since the Oct. 7 victory at Jacksonville in two weeks, according to one source.
Jeffery, who was injured against the Jaguars on a 10-yard touchdown reception, left the Soldier Field locker room Sunday after the 23-22 win victory the Panthers with a hard plastic brace on his healing hand. The Bears' off week also gave him time to recover so he could miss only three games before returning to action.
"I wouldn't even try to guess when he's coming back," Bears coach Lovie Smith said Monday. "I just know he's making progress and we're hopeful."
The best news is Smith indicated Jeffery has remained in shape so that shouldn't be a significant hurdle for him to get back on the playing field. He probably will need a week of practice before returning to action.
"I just know what he's doing," Smith said. "First off you have to stay in the game mentally, and he's doing that in meetings and even watching the game on the sidelines. (An injured player) can watch the game from a different perspective to help (his) game. Also, he's staying in shape, keeping conditioning up.
"He's doing all the things you can do if you're injured, and to be a good pro for years to come. You're going to have an injury, you're going to have to deal with it, so you're going to have to learn this routine, which he's doing. No complaints about him at all. Can't wait to get him back out there."
Earl Bennett missed two games with a broken hand after he tried to play through his injury earlier in the season. Bennett has six receptions in the last two games but is used more in the slot while Jeffery was on the outside where he had been splitting time there with Devin Hester.
Jeffery is third on the team with 14 receptions and second with 184 receiving yards, and he has scored two touchdowns. He provides quarterback Jay Cutler with another big target opposite Brandon Marshall in the red zone where the offense has had struggles, ranking 22nd. Getting Jeffery back in the mix when the schedule presents teams with strong records should be a boost.
•The Bears signed wide receiver Raymond Radway to the practice squad and he took the place of wide receiver Joe Anderson, who was released. The 6-foot-3, 204-pound Radway was an undrafted free agent from Abilene Christian last season and had multiple stints with the Cowboys.

Cannot wait for this kid to get back on track. I bet Cutler cannot wait either. Kid was on track for near 800 yards his rookie year; that's pretty solid for a rookie WR on any team; let alone the Bears.

Getting him back would be a big help for Cutler and it helps keep Hester off the field more. My guess is that we won't see him before the 49ers game. We tried to rush Bennett back because of the injury to Jeffery and that didn't go so well right away. In fact I think he's still hurting a little.
This Radway kid is kind of intriguing. He looks to me like a Randy Moss type with similar size and speed. This may also be an indication that Knox may never recover fully enough to play again. The only down field speed we have now is in Hester and we all know his limitation. A 6'3" guy with the kind of speed Hester and Knox have could help.

He's also a project guy ala Aurisse Currie, I'm not worried about Radway until he cracks the game day roster. I'm intrigued, but Dallas needs WR help(I know it's weird to here that) and if they let him walk there might be a reason.
