Does the kid need coaching ? In the Caro game he FELL DOWN to make a block and the defender jumped over him to sack Cutler.
Later in the game he got beat by the defender who knocked the ball out of Cutlers hand ... fumble.
After that when he stayed upright to block ... Cutler got better.
Carimi played LT in college ... thought he would be in that role.
Right now he looks like a guard, he's being out ran by defenders in the pros at the edge.

Not to go ad hominem, but that may be the dumbest thing I've read here.
Krony the LINE is going to get bigger across the board of every team. Which is why Rodreguiz is a FB.
So who's out there in college that looks like what we need @ OL ?
You know and I know ... this boat aint sailing to the SB with this OL ... no matter how many TE's they bring in.
Why we didnt do anything about it in the draft is a glaring issue that is beyond me.
If we get there ... it's DEFENSE. Think Ravens and T.B. of the past SB's.

You have a lot of OL experience? Doesn't sound like it.
Pretty bad job of not going ad hominem there.

Let's just chill. Not everyone is great in their first two years...

Nope, I wasn't a fatass and I could run. I did, however, play enough football and other sports (and watch enough) to know that counting anyone out because of size is simply myopic.
I know, but ... I have a terrible habit of pointing out the stupid shit people say.

And I definitely agree, but at some point he has to show improvement, regardless of tenure. There's only so much technique and seasoning can do to fix that opposite-of-explosive kickslide to the edge.

Ok guys,
Carimi is a human turnstyle at RT ... I say he's a Guard.
Now who do we draft at LT ??? This time lets not be fuckin around.
Krony, whats the best out there at the college level ? What can help us ?

He seemed ok previously. Maybe too much time under the guru?
Seriously, is Tice helping or hurting? I can't make up my mind

At this point, he's on pace to be another Webb and OMG. If he's like this next year, he will be yet another Jerry Angelo first round bust gone to waste.

how much times has he done a mistake that cost us yards or that lead to Cutler going down?
Webb was far worse than Carimi. Guy is inconsistent as hell, but it's basically his rookie year. Give him time. The right side did a good job most of the time. Almost all the big plays had great blocking on the right side with Louis and Carimi. If you only look at the bad snaps he had, it's true. If you look at the whole game you will see that Carimi did his job for about 92-95% of the game. Those 92-95% of the time are not interesting because you don't really see what he did. I had way more moments yesterday with Webb and Rodriguez where I thought please god, Cutler deserves better than that

K just checking cause I played right guard in college and I'm 6'5, wish I were a bit shorter... Would have been a bit easier.
I'm not short sighted I just know that prototype sizes exist because its easier to play that position at that size. Not a rule just makes it easier or gives you the best chance at success, in this case being slightly shorter makes it easier.
Funny, I have that same habit.
@ HB: I know bro it's early to count the dude out but it's just so painful to watch him get burned. Everytime I see our linemen on the ground or get burned on the speed rush I think to myself "god I could do that, why didn't I get drafted?!" Lol oh we'll good game yesterday.
