If we start to panic now, we can avoid the rush.

I don't know brother the kid comes from a good college program that's turned out some great linemen, he has a great pedigree and he's a "gamer". Even Cutler says he's not worried about him right now. I think in the long run Carimi will get it figured out and learn to adjust his play for whatever deficiencies he may show at the moment.
It's too early to worry that much yet. He run blocks very well but he's still learning how to handle speed off the edge. How long has Webb been at it and he's still struggling with it too. The problem is the pass rushers in the NFL are just bigger and faster than most anything these guys had to cope with in college and it's a tough adjustment at first.
Look at our guys. We've been chewing up and spitting out our share of OTs and OGs too.
I'm getting to that age where a lifetime warranty just doesn't mean as much to me anymore as an afternoon nap.

You realize how hard it is to get a great LT nowadays. I expected him to be our LT when we drafted him. As Soul said, he had a perfect pedigree. I'm hoping the guy can work out at RT now. If not, then maybe an interior lineman.
Too early to call him a bust.

I'm actually just fooling. I think he will be just fine. I've said it before. But I am getting a little concerned about the length of time it is taking to correct the lunging. That should only be a few weeks for a lineman that has good aptitude and intelligence. It is going to take practice to be consistent and he is going to get beat in different ways, but to keep making the same mistakes over and over after knowing what the issue is -- well that is bothersome. But I am like you. I think he will be fine. Just frustrating to live through. I'm sure for him also.

Exactly. I thought he was our LT also ... maybe he needs to play at guard for awhile ... move him in later in the season at RT & LT.

You don't know how happy it makes me to hear of Carimi's struggles. I hope he enjoys his reunion with Watt this weekend.

What I found out is that Carimi is good as long as the play will go on his right side. Roll outs to right or running game to the right and he is as good as a RT you want to have. If the game is designed to go on the left, he struggles. If Cutty goes a bit to the left or has a roll out to the left, Carimi makes mistakes and will look bad. Keep an eye on this during the next games.

So I think there is a lot more to it than wins/losses, especially if you want to post on forums about a team like this.
last year... we had no QB after Cutler went down. This year we have a former starter who has won games in the past and has thrown for 14000 yards with more TDs than INTs.
last year... Barber was too stupid to stay in bounds
last year... our OC thought it was still the year 2000 and he is a genius
If this happens again, we will make the POs this year. That's why we pay much money on backups at skill positions

Right and all I was trying to point out is that there is more to the game than wins and losses. Whats behind those wins? how can we try to predict future wins/losses? etc etc
Always seems like whenever we talk about stuff you revert back to "We are 7 - 1, thats all that matters" and you don't want to talk about how bad this offense is or see things for what they are.

37 Points isn't bad no matter how it happened...
and as I said before I don't care about how we win as long as we win. I won't blame the Offense for putting up points near the goalline. If we lose and they play bad, you can be sure that I will say something different about this.
I learned a long time ago that nobody will ask how you won something as long as you won it

Lulz, and there it is!
You're still missing the point entirely, but that's okay. I blame a language deficiency, wish I could speak German... You know Spanish?
