We've been really blessed to stay healthy so far. Throughout the NFL, it's already been a season with star players dropping like flies to major injuries. I figure just staying healthy is a HUGE factor at this point of the season.

Regarding what we learned, I think I learned that the team still has a lot to work on, but that they have a great veteran core group (players and coaches) who will continue to improve each week. I really like the fact that we have these key veterans to help the younger players in this situation. We need to get better. I think we will see improvement.

I keep thinking of that movie, "Hoosiers" where the coach tells the fans "THIS is our team" even though they weren't happy with the team at that point. It's how I feel about this Bears team. This is our team. It isn't perfect. It has some really rough parts. It needs to improve. Some players just are not too good, period. But this is our team.

I think we'll see good improvement, and a great season.

I'm not sure an objective analysis that includes negative statements makes someone a "naysayer". Threads like these would be boring if it was just a bunch of homers pumping their chest saying "We rock!!!!".

Bottom line, I'm sure everyone is very happy with the outcome. But if someone thinks the score proves that the Bears played an ALL AROUND great game, I'd certainly contest the statement. I really don't think the Bears can count on 5 turnovers every game against the best teams.

1st scoring drive: 1 play, 8 yards, 8 yard TD run Matt Forte.
2nd scoring drive: 3 plays, 16 yards, 13 yard TD pass to Brandon Marshall
3rd scoring drive: 5 plays, 65 yards, 39 yard TD pass to Brandon Marshall (woweee Mom look I did it all by myself)
4th scoring drive: 3 plays 2 yards, 5 yard TD pass to Brandon Marshall

So the offense scored 21 points in 7 plays going only 26 yards.
those 4 drives all ended with the Offense putting up 28 Points + 9 other Points.

It's now the fault of the offense that they have a great starting field position? You blame them for starting in the red zone? Really?

Scoring is never easy and I've seen many failed attempts to score in the red zone by the Bears and many other teams.

This is just WOW. Really don't know what to say for blaming the Offense to have a good starting field position. Whats next? Stupid offense, why haven't you scored more than 28 Points via Touchdown? Stupid offense.

Last 2 weeks you complained about the offense not putting up points. Now they do and you still complain because we haven't seen those 80 yard runs or 90 yard passes. Our games are entertaining and fun to watch - even if you are not a Bears fan. Our D is great, Tillman is a CB god and the combination of Cutler and Marshall seems to be the best connection this year between a QB and HIS WR. Now you add a 100 yard starting RB who has 2 backups that put up 50 yards combined

After a few weeks of posting here I realize that you and I aren't going to agree on much. Thats okay though I respect your opinion just as much as the next guys opinion.

I feel like if I where to not watch the games and just look at the box scores then I would agree with most, if not all, of what you usually post Germans. Are you able to watch the games? If you can't for some reason send me a private message and I'll give you a link to a site that has live streams of the games on Sunday. Its actually a very cool site and its free. I think it would be a lot more fun as a fan if you were able to watch the games rather than just look at the box scores at the end. Just let me know Germans.

Other than that I can't see how anyone could credit the offense with those 21 points I mentioned in a prior post. I'm not blaming the offense for good field position, but I'm not going to say they did anything either. Cutler and Marshall had one nice strike in the end zone, thats about all the good I saw on Sunday.

All 3 TD passes were good and not I can asure you that Hester, Davis or last year Knox and Williams would have dropped/not make the catch 2 of those throws.

Firstrowsports is the best site for live streamin at the moment. I've seen every single game since the start of the 2009 season. I actually watch the games and understand what I see. I see a great D that gives the offense a chance to put up points - which they did. Complaining about this is really a bad way to understand this sports itself

German, I think the point is, where was the O when they DIDN'T have the field position; before the game was out of hand, and the answer is not much. In the first it was Safety/punt/fumble. The most the drove the field was 46 yards; and that was when they fumbled so they didn't finish.

You are right though, as I stated a few posts above, the O is almost in a damned if you do damned if you don't situation. The D/St's gave them great field position and the lead, hard for them to get long scoring drives when they start inside the 30. But you CAN look at the drives that didn't and see what they did, and it wasn't much. 3 yards, 17 yards, -9 yards, and again finally 46. The 1st 3 were punts, the last one was another cutler TO. So it's safe to say the O is still struggling early on.

Now in the 3rd qtr when all the pressure was off, they finally relaxed, or Tenn finally gave up either way, and the O was able to look good and move the ball. But against the elite teams chances are the D is not going to set the O up like that consistantly, and the O will need to drive 40+ yards in the 1st half more then 1 time, and you sure to hell cannot cough the ball up when you do that. If they had played Houston this week we don't get 4 turn overs in the 1st half setting this O up for easy TD'.s

I see where you're coming from, but the offense finally started working closer to a manner in which we've all wanted. Forte was a beast, which i think will show up more. The only bad thing about your posts, are that people might perceive you as not being happy with the win/record. I think you aren't satisfied, because you are forewarning that we're not going to have the offense get by with all these slow slow starts, and to that, i agree.

Thanks Henry, it might be, but if they are I don't think they are reading carfully enough, multiple times in the Bears O section i mentioned Forte and the O running more smoothly then before. I loved how the game went through Forte and the O played better because of it, but they when they went away from that early the O stalled; estabish the run until the D commits to stopping it, then audbile out to a pass to burn them for it. Marshal/Hester/Forte/Allen all had solid games, Bush/Bennett struggled but I it's allowed, they aren't mainstays; I'm hardly going to get on them anymore then I would hester/Allen unless they cost the game.

Outside of Tice I think the coaching was near perfect, and the D was absurd, great doesn't discribe it, and I think some of that has to go to Rod M, again I think this D is looking like 05 when Rivera was the DC. They are attacking more, they are far more agressive then the last few years where it Lovie's D. The D players seem to feed of their coach, and when lovie was more involved they were relaxed and confident, under Rod/Ron they are far more nasty and agressive.

As much as I want to see forte getting 20+ touches, I actually didn't mind when the game was over that they were passing b/c that aspect needs as much practice as it can get, but I would have liked to see the ball getting into Hester/Bennet's hands more b/c they need it more then Marshal does. The OL still struggles, but that's no news they will all year. Cutler needs to help them out more by either finding the open guy(as discussed in the nfl playbook thread) or throwing the ball away, but the OL has to do better also. All 12 Offensive TO's have been by Cutlers hands, he needs to be more carefull w/the ball, part of that is getting the ball out to the open man more quickly more often.

Trackguy said it earlier, just b/c someone rights an objective peice(both good and bad) doesn't mean they are being negative. It's just recognizing there are things this team needs to work on; and Marshal/Cutler/and several others(be it analysts, former players, writers, talk show guys etc etc) have said it also. None of them are hating, and I don't see any hate(towards the bears) in this thread either.

you're probably right HB, I should lighten up sometimes. I want a SB victory this year badly though. C'mon Urlacher has to have one before its over and the Bears in general are long over due!

I learned that we imo are to ineffectiv in the redzone, specially when first and goal. It's hard to walk away with a TD everytime you're in the redzone but our currently convention is just bad imo.
When we gonna face the more difficult teams we need to score TD's insted of FG's.

Learned that Peanut first priority is FF then tackle.

Learned that Brian Urlacher is back and hopefully for real.

Learned that our Oline needs more pixie dust made the Titans defense looks like a real good one.
    Oderint dum metuant.
