I don't believe for a second that we lose to both the Texans and 49ers. We beat bad teams like no other. When we have injuries, yeah, it affects us (see: Carolina, Detroit games), and it took Tice a while to figure out how to run this offense, but it looks like he's at least got the strategy down. I don't think he's going back to "play action on first when everyone knows we're gonna pass" type crap. If they can get the passes out even quicker, with simpler routes (we have the big men to catch the ball, even Davis, if used in short yardage spots, can do that) we will win. Todd Haley was brought into the Steelers fold because they knew their line sucked, and Big Ben needed quick passing plays to have an efficient offense. Tice needs to steal a play outta his book...

I can see the Bears SPLITING, the next two games, even winning both, but not losing both. If I had to PICK a way the Bears lose one of the games, I wouldn't mind losing to Texas and the starting a new win streak against the 49'ers.
The passion of a few, to rule the many, that's Washington D.C.. Where else was that said before, about whom?

At worse I see them finishing 5-2 Only two I can see them losing are against the Giants and us.

Now, with injuries to some key Packer players that could very well change. Nelson and Mathews could miss some time.

Like it or not, once again, the final Bears and Packers game in the regular season will dictate if the Bears win the division. Whoever wins that game, wins the division with the other team taking the 5th seed (1st Wild Card)
The packers defense still sucks so I can see the losing a couple of games.

Well that's the key early on to getting the offense moving with balanced play calls. Save the down field stuff for after we get them to stop teeing off on Cutler. Move the ball consistently 5-10 yards at a time, stop being overly anxious, stop taking stupid false start penalties and holds because of trying reach too far in the early part of the game and just develop a rhythm.

Even if the drive stalls after 20 or 30 yards we end up pinning them down with 80 yards of more to go and let the defense create some opportunities for the offense. They seem pretty good at it, LOL. Like I said we should just punt on first down every time we get the ball during the first quarter. Haha.

It just seems to me like that whole offense needs to warm up a bit and shake their nervousness off. Entertainers do it all the time. Comedians tell short quick jokes to get the audience paying attention. Musicians tackle simpler pieces to start with and vocalists know enough never to challenge the upper part of their range with the first few songs. Sequencing.

Like I said the plays are there we just need to get them in a better order.
I'm getting to that age where a lifetime warranty just doesn't mean as much to me anymore as an afternoon nap.

Maybe we could just keep the D out there come time for the O. We could just throw the other team the ball, and then take it back away and score.

Damn... Hope Tice isn't reading this. He may add the "throw to the other team" play along with his "sack" play.

Ofcause we can win it. We got a chance like everyone else, but that being said we still havn't played the better teams and last we did against GB our playcalling sucked balls. I'm don't think we gonna lose to both SF and Texans but I can see us to lose to one of them most likely Texans.

You gotta remember that even tho there are no easy games in the NFL there is a different between Titans and Texans.

Don't simply defeat bad teams, but destroy them. We deserve caveats for the Detroit game, as Cutler was really banged up there, and Carolina is not as bad as their record would indicate. With that said, the vikings are continuing to fall back into fail mode. Ponder averaged 2.9 yards a pass, and the team is losers of 3 of 4. People are still worried about Green Bay, and seeing who their QB is, that's not illogical. HOWEVER, they are injured all over the place: Jordy Nelson, Clay Matthews, Bryan Bulaga along with those from previous weeks. Houston, on paper, is going to be a tough matchup, but let's get over our sudden switch from "Screw ESPN, we're a good team" to "Jay Cutler is our downfall" pity party when we outscore the other team by crazy amounts, and realize we're the favorites over Houston, and there's no reason we can't beat them or San Fran. If we do beat one or both of them, and suffer no more serious injuries along the way, we have this division. Don't be fooled by the Seahawks, we stopped a better RB today, and I'd take Hasselback over Russell Wilson any day of the week. Detroit is the only scary team because they have players with bad attitudes that like to inflict injury.

Henry, dear Henry, I dig what you're shoveling.... I'm picking up what you're putting down.... I'm.... Out of stupid sayings. Agreed, with the following addendum:

1.) The Bears are catching shit from everyone (myself included) about the ease of their schedule. Well let me tell you about the Houston Texans schedule. First, they palyed 2 teams we have played (Jacksonville and Tennessee) and those two teams happen to be in the midst of a death-match for "most pathetic team in the league" honors. So there's two wins you can throw out for the Texans too, oh and they only managed to put up a paltry 30 points against Tennessee. Second, they played Miami early in the season with a rookie QB and stomped them, they stomped a beat-up ravens team, they beat Denver when they were playing terrible defense (couldn't stop anyone for the first three weeks and have since made personnel changes), and they just won a stinker against the Bills. Their schedule has been every bit as weak as ours if not worse, also take into consideration that the AFC is much less talented than the NFC this year. I'm not taking anything away from these guys or disrespecting them, they beat the teams they should have beaten like we did. Take it for what its worth, It DOES matter how good your opponents are, it DOES matter who you play.

2.) Chris Johnson is not nearly as good as everyone thinks he is, he got that big contract and that may be the worst thing that happened to running backs since they started using the forward pass. Nobody wants to pay running backs now because of him, he isn't that great so I don't take much away from us holding him to 79 yards. As discussed the 80 yard run was against backups and no one cares, hell we could have given him two more and it still wouldn't have mattered. I'll be much more impressed if we can hold Lynch, Foster, and Peterson under 100 yards.

3.) I never thought Minnesota was as good as advertised, Ponder is absolutely horrid, one of the bottom 5 starters in the league IMHO. Us Bears fans know only too well that you can't win with someone who is THAT bad running the show. Every year there is some early Cinderella story in the NFL, last year it was the Bills at 6 - 0, then reality set in and they imploded, or got beat by teams that figured out what they were doing well and stopped them, whichever way you want to look at it.

4.) We can totally beat Houston and San Francisco because they are both running teams. NOBODY RUNS ON THE BEARS, PERIOD! Welcome to the Black-and-Blue division fellas.

5.) Observations on Jay Cutler (And do notice I say observation and not criticism, take it for what its worth): I don't get the feeling that he is the type of guy that feels like he needs to get better. I mean, I don't feel like he is in practice working on mechanics or timing or routes with his guys. I just get the feeling he thinks "I'm as good as I am, my mechanics are what they are, I'm not going to work on it anymore than I have." And don't get me wrong, Jay Cutler is really Goddamn good, I'd put him in the top 10 QB's easy, possibly top 5. I think its evident in the way he throws, so many off-balance throws and back-foot throws, its not important to him to be mechanically sound (im obviously not talking about the off-balance throws caused by terrible OL play, don't think I haven't considered that in what I'm saying). I'm sitting over here in Boston watching Brady a lot this season, its very easy to see the difference between him and Jay. Brady drops back and goes through his progressions 1...2...3... FIRE. Sometimes only 1 or 2. But I see Jay locked in and its like before they even get lined up hes got it in his head "this one is going to Bennett, open or not I'm going to fire this thing and see if he can make a play." I don't want anyone to think I'm hating on Jay, I'm not. The dude is mighty good. I'm simply stating my observations/speculations about the guy. On a final note, where the hell did the comparison between Rivers and Cutler get started? I don't understand it, they couldn't be more different. Rivers sucks, he is so over rated by the retards at ESPN. His mechanics are terrible (his throwing motion looks like Jimmy Macs), his accuracy sucks, he can't run like Jay, dude is not a winner, I don't get the comparison.

6.) Hasselback is still a really good quarterback, the dude took the Seahawks to the super bowl. How many backup Qb's can say they took a team to the SB (Grossman LOL). His accuracy is good, he is surprisingly fast and athletic for 37, I would take him over Campbell in a heartbeat. Gotta be the best backup in the NFL.
