Actually, Dobbins did not do all he could there to hurt Cutler, he tried to hold up a bit, take a look again if you have it. He just hits like concrete, is our known thumper, and if he intending to hurt him, Jay would still be asleep as he was defenseless. Cutler had been running the middle of the field head first. he was a runner past the LOS, by the rule was a hit as the pass left his hand. Anyway, you cannot say anyone was going to turn on the offense in the 4th quarter in those conditions, was just going to be the defense. Kubiak went into his Shell once he got the lead, did not let Special Teams or his offense lose it, make the Bear offense win against our D in those conditions. Made for frustrating football, but made a ton of sense.
Big respect, and good luck. Hope your guys recover from concussions quick, you got an extra day but a big game. We get a bye, the Jaguars, so can heal our bruises a bit

Maybe we should take a lesson from you Texans.
JCUT is the best QB in the forth quarter in the NFL.
Good to get rid of him early.
Other then that it was one hell of a game ! Texans now 3-0 against BEARS. 19 points total.
I think thats whats called DEFENSE by both sides. Thank god I recorded it.
This still could be the preview of a SUPERBOWL.
Yeah most Bears fans on this forum are class acts, but you're just coming off as a sore loser with that crazy take. I'm sure we had bounties on Cutler and everything...
Lol we played against Peyton Manning and Aaron Rodgers, we've got Tom Brady coming up, but we were just shaking in our boots at the thought of facing MVP Jay Cutler...

In the 4th quarter there is no better ;)
I do not think you guys tried to hurt Cutler. No worries. Football is a injury prone game..

I just want to say that regardless of differences of opinion on certain aspects of the game I thought this was an awesome old school type football game. You guys and gals have a great football team! Many of us agreed this was a game that could go either way and the outcome would probably be based on turnovers, big plays, etc. and imo it came down to just that (turnovers). I appreciate y'all allowing us on your boards and the hospitality and class shown by so many of your fans is second to none. Best of luck on the rest of your season and a speedy recovery for Cutler. Thank you!

Texans won, no doubt about it. They had the momentum from the first play we had on offense (f*kin Kellen Davis). There were two very big referee calls that went against the Bears - both too close to tell with the camera angles. As a Bear fan I firmly believe both went against us (Cutler beyond LOS, Jennings int to TD), but I'm sure Texan fans saw it the exact opposite.
Good game, and in the end probably not a loss that will cost us in the long run, but rather build what we need should we make it to the playoffs.
Oh, and raise your hand if you were surprised D. Manning was such a big factor against us. If Lovie didn't switch his position every 15 minutes, we'd have seen his value.

What a great game between 2 great teams. That was football the way it's supposed to be played.
Hard hitting, smash mouth football.
The Bears are a great team.
I'm looking forward to seeing you guys again.
In the Superbowl!
Good luck guys.
Have a great season!
And by all means, BEAT THE PACKERS!

Nice win for you guys, Tex. Houston made a few keys plays (more than we did) and deserved to win. I'm disappointed in the outcome but I respect that we missed opportunities (few in a game like that) and the Texans took advantage of what they had better. The better team won Sunday night and the Bears have no one to blame but themselves.
I hope we all meet again in February.

I hope we do too. The zebras called it on the JCUT hit. 13-6 final score ... 1 TD in the whole game.
Man thats NFL football at its finest !

Observations of Bear Fans from a Texan Fan.
This comment has nothing to do with the game on the field but rather how Bear fans treated the visiting Texan fans in what had to be the best travel squad we’ve ever put together. Figured this was as good as place as any since the dialogue in this thread was not only about the game but mutual fan respect. These are just my observations…
1st – Ya’ll are great fans, make no mistake about it. We were sitting in section 355 somewhere between field level and heaven…much closer to heaven I might add. I can only say positive things about the guys/gals sitting not just next to us but in front, behind and all around.
2nd – traveling to the game via the train system was outstanding. We had no idea how to get to the stadium but figured we’d ask along the way. Mostly we just followed the jerseys to the stadium but once we got there and need some guidance we were treated as guests and ya’ll help us get to where we needed to be.
3rd – no fans, Texans or Bears, left because of the weather. I’m actually more impressed with the Texan fans on this one since it only gets below 35 a couple days out of the year down here but a little rain and cold temps didn’t get folks running to the gates. It’s not often the temp is colder than the beer. J
PS…I also made it thru the game 8 years ago when temps were below 0. (Someone told me windchill was -12 that game, correct me if I’m wrong.)
4th – Bear Fan conduct gets an A+. I only heard a “Texans Suck” once but it wasn’t directed at anyone in particular and the guy was so drunk he’s not going to remember saying it anyway. It was before the game so obviously he didn’t carry the same level of respect towards our defense as we had for yours.
Swearing was minimal though at times I’m sure there was some colorful language directed at the zebras, it was just never an issue as far as having kids around.
***A special shout-out goes to the guys on the Blue Line who helped us navigate our way home and turn us on to a place to grab some post-game eats. Not going to mention names but if you’re reading the taco/burrito stand was good and you’ll know who you are.
This was my 3rd game at Soldier field (1 Oiler & 2 Texan) and I’ve already informed my wife that in 8 years I want to see my 4th.
Good luck on the rest of the season and I expect to see ya’ll in February.
