best trade ever! Ok, maybe not the best, but a freaking good one.
well bdm it definitly beat the rick mirer trade lol
one of the best trades ever. He was badly needed. Cannot wait to see him out there w/Alshon again, it's gonna be freekin sweet!
where are the comments like "need to show up against a Team that is good"
Yeah, he is stupid good. It was a great trade for us. All the same, he gets thrown to all the time. My personal belief is that his stats would be as good or better if the offense was spread out more. If they didn;t expect us to throw to him every passing play he would actually get more production out of his completions. And we would be less dependent on him and more balanced. Plus, we may not get him killed.
I don't think the words Probowl and Chicago Bears Wide Receiver have evern been used in the same sentence before but after this year it will be. hehehe.
Suck it Jerry.
No, I think you're right brother. I mean the Cutler trade was pretty pivotal too but considering what we gave up it was pricey. Getting an All Pro WR with a contract in place that pays him less than $10 mil per year through 2014 for just a third and a future third (roughly equivalent to a 4th) was a stroke of genius.
The guy put up great numbers playing in shitty offenses with mediocre QBs and now that he and Cutler are together again he can show what's he's capable of in a good offense with his guy throwing to him. Smart move by Emery. Risky but smart.
What impresses me most is that everybody knows that Cutler is looking for him first on every play and yet they still haven't stopped him except for that GB game. Since then he's been on a tear.
A Bears WR leading the league, LOL. Who'd a thunk it? :lol-027:
You and me both Ric. Those two out there together is what we were all drooling over last spring. It's gonna take Jeffery a few games to get back in his rhythm again but having both of those guys healthy in time for the playoffs and Cutler in sync with them is what makes me think we really have a shot at the SB this year if that defense can keep it up.
