Jeez....
They'd have to knock me unconcious before I'd let anyone do that to me.
Not sure why anyone would do that to themselves. Or lock themselves in a cage with a tiger.... or.... plenty of other things that people do to themselves.

Well expecting his "exploits" as a WR to improve much as like expecting Wisconsin to stop producing cheese Dags. Ain't gonna happen. During the course of the year he'll make a half dozen "big plays" some of which might me scores but that's about it. He has his limits and as a WR he always will.
His real strength is his PR not the KR and he almost had one last week. I didn't go back and watch the play but if whoever was hanging out on his left had thrown a block rather than been watching Hester he would have scored and we wouldn't even be talking about it.
I think he's far from used up but he does need to get more aggressive on his punt returns and last week he seemed to turn the corner on that. As far as kick returns he's just not getting as many chances anymore. Quite a few more are not returnable and then you have teams like Carolina who won't even kick to him so all in all the percentages go down.
No matter what he's still a guy the other teams needs to "game plan" for in one way or another so he has his uses and eventually he'll have a few more "big plays" one way or the other. I wouldn't give up on his just yet but it would be nice if other teams did and made it a little easier on him, LOL.

I just don't think that martz was able to and don't think Tice is able to. This begs the question that if we are not really able to take advantage of Hester other than as a regular WR (for which I would say he is only average), then where is his value?
I think his value always was on returns and that we neutered that threat when we tried to make him a #1 WR. That was misguided. Hester has the biggest return threat the game has ever seen and should have blown past all records so far that no one would catch him for years. As it sits, he has not had a return for a score in a while.
It is sad to think about, but that is the reality.
There's some real truth to this houston but it would help if Hester learned to broaden his catching skills and got to be a little more precise with the way he runs his routes.
Nobody is gonna let him get too wide open so we need to find ways to run him into spots where the others guys aren't and we have never done that very well. You're right.

Rumor has it that J'Marcus Webb will be responsible for lighting the fuse - and running like his underwear is on fire, to get away from the blast site.
WARNING!
During practice of "The Hester Package" J'Marcus couldn't "remember" the snap count and we almost lost Halas Hall. I think that is poor Jay down on the ground there. Webb and Carimi are in the forground:

Only the first 10,000 fans that arrive to Solder Field will be given these safety suits. The rest are SOL.
BTW, thanks for this. I've begun making fun of the Hester package at work. It's just as funny as the Suh traps of Solder Field. Maybe that's why we can't unveil this package at home. Hester might get stuck in a Suh trap.
