Houston protects the football. I hope our D can continue to score for us, but this may be a game where our O has to carry the scoring load.

I'm looking forward to seeing these guys coach. Hope they're good.

If the Texans do manage to leave Soldier Field with a victory, they won't necessarily be exposing the Bears. They will have simply been better than a pretty good Bears team. I do see this game as being one in which Chicago's problems on offense could finally sink the team, the way it did in Week 2 at Green Bay.

If that's all it takes let's take up a collection and buy him an f'n KFC franchise with a guy dressed up like Col. Sanders but wearing a Webb Nation tee shirt. I'm in.

How about they win a SB and then are compared to the greatest cover 2 type D of all time or greatest scoring D ever.
Arguing on the internet is like winning the special olympics, even if you win your still messed up.

It will come down to a defense game as both teams have great defenses! As defense wins you the game!

I think we will expose the texans like the packers did and kick their ass. I could be wrong but the defense is something the texans should be worrying about.

Not that Schaub is a terrible QB and that A. Johnson is a bad WR, but I thought that their offense is mainly played through their running game lately. I could be wrong, but if we can shut down Foster (which is very possible for our great run D), then we can pretty much shut down their O. As great as the Houston O line is, if Schaub will have to consistently throw the ball, he's gonna get hit. A lot.

Both defenses will probably do well. But we won't shut down the Texan's offense. Not gonna happen. So, our offense is going to have to:
1. Stop turning the ball over.
2. Stop with the stupid drive-killing penalties. Those 3rd-and-18 situations are not going to cut it with Houston Sunday.
3. We have to score on OFFENSE and not wait for the defense to score.
4. The offense needs to play 4 quarters. None of this waiting until the 4th quarter to show up and begin working. 4 quarters of solid offense.
5. The oline is bad. So don't expect them to shine. Game plan accordingly. Cutler needs to understand this fact and play accordingly. This ain't rocket science at this point.
The Texans protect the ball well. I don't see a game like we had against the stupid self-destructive Titans. Houston won't beat themselves. I'm just hoping our offense doesn't hurt us - they need to help us win this one.

If we get beat (and it may happen), I think that it will be more of case of a good team that has the coaching and players that are able to take advantage of a known weakness.
But our guys won't just lay down for them. We have the best D in the league, and we have a capable O if we can keep Cutler from swallowing his own liver.

Problem is that we need to provide extra protect for BOTH ends of the line right now with how Carimi is playing and not sure how feasable that is going to be against Houston.
Like a I said before, I can see us winning and I can see us losing -- it's going to be a dogfight between two good teams. I just don't want to see an OL blowout followed by a JC meltdown or we are going to get physically hurt and embarrassed on National TV. I can handle a loss to Houston as long as it's a good game and I see a good Bears team out there that is in the game the whole time.
If that is the case, we are ok. We still have a lot of season left and we can continue to work on our O. If we can ever get good protection and have our O click, I truly believe we are the best team in the league.
Hey guys, yet another Texans fan here.
Good post.
This is exactly the way I see it.
With your O-line I like the Texans.
But with the rain it could be anyone's game.
How's y'alls field when wet? I hate me some mud football!
