As long as the Texans can keep you running I like our chances. Nobody has scored a rushing touch down on the Texans D in 12 games going back to last year.
There's a lot more to the running game I want to see from the Bears than merely punching it in from deep in the redzone (which I'm confident Bush can do). I'm talking mainly about moving the ball between the 20s, keeping the Houston D on the field, staying out of a lot of 3rd and longs, setting up the pass (incl. to Forte and Bush both of whom are excellent receiving backs), and generally playing to the strength of the OL which is run blocking rather than letting Houston tee off on our weak pass pro.

I don't really care who actually gets in the end zone as long as it happens a bit. As good a corner as Joseph is, he gives away 5-6 inches to Marshall so a well thrown high fade in the EZ will be a tall order for him to defend.

I expect the passing game for both sides to be a little sketchy with the weather being what it is.
And with Cutler more then likely running for his life I dont see him connecting on anything but dinks and dunks.
And I like our chances at stopping Bush since we've stopped everyone else.
This will be an interesting game no doubt. NFL rewind is gonna get wore out on Monday.

    1) I disagree, if this team gets shell shocked on their on field in the kind of weather expected to be in Chicago then ya it's a bad sign for the Bears. If they keep it close and all 3 phases at least show up then no, win or lose, you don't have anything to take out of this game

    2) Watt is a beast, and I cannot fathom a way that he doesn't walk out w/4 sacks of his own.

    3) Normally no, but this group has SO many different threats that you need Tillman out there to try and keep 1 on 1 coverage w/Johnson.

    4) Been talked about enough, 85 was better in their time then this one was. QB's woke up at night in a cold sweat thinking about having to face that D. But that doesn't change the fact that this is still a damn fine D, and is definately better then the 05-06 D.

You Texan fans think the Bears are chopped liver. The truth is that they are far better than anyone gives them credit for being. If Buffalo was able to hold you to 7 points for one half, imagine what our defense will do. If Peanut Tillman plays, Andre Johnson is going to feel the very same pain that Megatron did when we shut down the Lions. If ragintexan is correct in that he feels that Arian Foster might struggle against the Bears front seven because of the weather, then it could be a long night for your offense and it might even be that

I like to think back to last year's game vs. the Vikings at Soldier Field to serve as an example of how we fared against a top-notch pass rusher when the beleaguered J'Marcus Webb went up against Jared Allen. He gave up only one sack, and that sack was more on Cutler than on Webb because Cutler didn't get rid of the football in time. This team has what it takes to hold a good pass rushing team to a minimum of 2-3 sacks, and if we manage come away from this game having only given up that total number, I'll be pleased. Even I know that J.J. Watt is this team's version of Clay Matthews.

I don't think any Texans fans on here have given that impression. In fact, the opposite is true - most Texans fans had this chalked up as a loss as soon as the schedule came out due to it being a tough opponent on the road. Add in bad weather conditions, the way the Bears D is playing and it will be extra tough to pull out a win.

Both teams have similar goals - shut down the run/screen game, get an early lead and force the QBs to look downfield. Bears want this because Schaub is immobile when not running play action boots and it's easy to get the offense out of synch that way. Texans want this because Cutler refuses to throw the ball away - he either takes a sack or forces into coverage. This is going to be a great chess match! I don't think anyone is beating on their chest - just waiting to enjoy it

The weather report right now is for heavy rain and high winds up to 35mph. It looks like the rain isn't going to move in until the 2nd half.

Who's the better "mudder" ....Forte or Bush?

High wind doesn't seem to affect Cutler on medium range passes. We need Bennett in the rain, not Hester.

    Remember this one?

Since they're switched to a different grower for the sod and gotten better people on the grounds crew it hasn't been as bad. I don't think it's being quite as overused either. On TV it's at least looked less worn than it has in the past.

If it's a monsoon I'd give an edge to the Bears because of it. I've already seen Forte run in mud, Bush had to run on that bare infield that sometimes had out in Oakland and Cutler throws wind cutter spirals.

The big factor is that if Houston gets up by a score or two and then the weather moves in it'll be harder than hell to mount a real comeback in the seond half unless there are a couple of big plays on the ground.

Theres a CLOCK and going up against the greatest defense we have seen so far ... we better control it.

It's up to our offense to keep their defense on the field.

This aint no AIRBALL game for JCUT ... this is just simple Forte & Bush and all those TE's.

They have their defense ... take advantage of what their defense gives us.

It aint going to be much ... but it should be enough to win.

As a Texans fan these two give me a little more hope on the outcome.
The one on the bottom is particularly interesting considering it's from a Bears fan.

Still nervous about this one regardless of what the pundits say.
