But who played better last night Midway? Plus, points allowed are better for the Texans you say? Then they are the better defense. Sure, the Bears can lay out the hurt and score, but if the defense stops the other team from scoring you don't need to have a defense that can score.
As has been said, the two defenses are close. Bears get the edge because they can score.

We can quote stats as well. Regardless of the stats being posted anyone can use them and manipulate their meaning to bolster their own team or discredit another. http://www.nfl.com/stats/team
We beat the Bears at their own game by winning the turnover battle, great defensive play, and an offense that did just enough to not lose us the game. It is what it is. Nothing a Bears fan says is going to make me think any less of my team or this win just like it doesn't change my opinion of what a great team Chicago has. I understand there are some hard feelings because of this game, not just in this thread but several others, but to try and discredit the Texans after a Bears loss when there was so much respect for them leading up to the game is weak. Jmo.

No one in this thread is disrespecting anyone. Two good teams played last night. One team had an offense and a gameplan, that team won. One team had no offensive gameplan, an injured Qb, and made too many mistakes, that team lost.

No shit. There are a few Bears fans here who are uncharacteristically being sore losers. The Texans won fair and square and their fans here have been classy, so cut it out and give credit where it is due.
Whether it was good Houston D or bad Chicago O (actually it was both), the Texans managed to make 2 or 3 more plays against us than we did against them. For example, Foster's TD catch was terrific and Marshall dropped his chance. Turn that around and nothing else and Bears win 10-9. They made a tough 40+ yard FG in the rain/wind and Gould missed. They had a couple of clear drops/mis-throws while the Bears had at least half a dozen. They got 3 or 4 good runs together one drive and the Bears got Forte stuffed and waited too long to go to Bush (who was the better option all day long in those conditions).
And so on and so on...

The conditions last night were definitely not suited to Forte's running style (he's a jump cut back guy who likes to make the edge). It was going to be tough sledding for him on a sloppy, traction-less field with the Texans D keying on him. It showed and they stuffed him well.
I don't blame Tice and Co. for going to him despite this but I do blame them for shutting out Bush when his north-south style was more effective in the rain and mud. Houston simply took Forte put of the game and then Tice took Bush out of the game after that early fumble.
Those two early forced fumbles were HUGE for Houston. Changed everything. Davis never rebounded and Bush was benched till late the game foolishly when he was the runner we needed up the middle all along. Two promising drives were stymied, especially the second. Those were two monster plays for what we all knew would be a low scoring game.

Huge drops also (one for a TD). Big holding penalties to, just self inflicted wounds like always. With Hester and Davis on the field the bears are basically playing 9 on 11.

If the Texans lost Schaub before the second-half and the Bears won I wouldn't call the Bears the better team. I would be happy they squeaked out a win, but could not say that they were the better team.

I would! Injuries are a part of the game. I also wouldn't be pointing out that we were without our starting TE, NT, ILB, or our backup RB that is better suited for the type of weather we were facing had we lost. I would congratulate the Bears on being the better team last night with no excuses. That's just me.

Nonsense, you wouldn't be on this forum at all.
Regardless, Texans won and Bears lost in a close match. I'm already over it, on to the 49ers.
