Jrad, I really don't think you understand how bad the Bears OL is :). I could pick 4 guys on this board that could start on a DL and at least hurry Cutler, it really is that bad.

That was surprising and aggravating! I was yelling at my TV with how much time both CHI QBs had to throw. The fact that there wasn't a lot of damage done was a testament to the Texans secondary, who I thought played outstanding. It wasn't long ago that they were the weakest part of the team.

That game probably featured the best foursome of cornerbacks of any NFL game this season. Hopefully we'll see it again in New Orleans

I'll tell you what we learned, we learned that a game we might lose we did.

That our back up QB needs Reps with the first team this week, even if he did better the Cutler people will bitch.

That Davis and Hester both suck and Forte only knows how to run one route we have other RBs that can play and just because we paid Forte doesn't mean he is our best RB right now, yes Bush fumbled limiting him to only 2 more carries all game is piss poor coaching, and where the heck is Allen.

That our O line do a good job, not great a good job.

And none of us had the team going 15-1 this year so get over the lose.

That no our Defense can't win every game for us.

Secondly, Longhorns I said you wouldnt be on these forums if you had lost last night. You then said you would be here congratulating us, to which I responded " lets see your posts on green bay's forums then." and you still havent answered that question.

3rd, it doesnt matter who got hurt, we are paying a backup big money to get the job done. We should have a chance to win with our backups. I blame Tice for not copying the Texans game plan.

Its like every time a player remotely screws up they are totally written off, which is stupid. We'v got to stick with people better than that.

Oh, yeah I didn't post in the GB forums before or after the game, I don't really post much in forums, I did in the bills a little bit and then in the Bears one, I kinda started liking to look at opponents boards recently to get their vibe. I actually have never posted in the Texans boards tbh. I totally missed your comment but yeah in our next loss I would totally congratulate a winning team, I have respect for a team defeating us.

I get what you're saying and I agree completely, if Shaub goes out I expect Yates to win like he did last year some of the games that he won. I remember the exact game Schaub was knocked out then we got Matt Leinart for like 2 plays before he broke his shoulder, and then our 3rd stringer Yates came in, I was like "great, who the hell is this guy?" and then Yates just started throwing lasers to Andre Johnson after I figured he'd just hand off the ball the rest of the game, it was actually pretty cool.

He's not nearly as good as Schaub but he can play, and I expect him to win if he comes in. I do think the Bears have the best D in the NFL but yesterday they didn't and you guys are also right that you should have stuck with the run. Gary was going to run Foster all night long no matter how many we took for losses and it turned out to be the game changer.

I really did enjoy watching an old fashioned brutal gritty game in those conditions too.

No hard feelings either, I'm coming on YOUR boards and I don't want to be that trolling opponent fan. Good luck the rest of the season and I really do hope Cutler comes back fast and healthy.

Ragin, your DB's got a lot of help from our WR's. You'd be screamin' at them right now if the Bears had caught 1/2 the passes that hit them in the hands w/no one around them.

Im not trying to take anything from them they played a very good game both in pass protection and run blocking. I'm just trying to throw it out there that the conditions inhibited D-linemen from getting to the passer. Especially going around the edge where the footing would just give way, notice Peppers didn't stand out this game nor did Watt. What I am basically saying is that you can't look at this game and going forward say "Well, the bears have really turned the corner on pass protection" or "The Texans pass rush going forwards really has some question marks" This game and its conditions were very unique.

Just being real, but the damage could have been a lot worse if the Bears executed better. There was probably 100+ yards in drops, which would have led to another 13-21 points. Not trying to take anything away from the Texans, but the opportunities were there and a better offense would/will take advantage of it.

To be fair, that was not the Texans offense that averages 30 pts a game either. Kubiak decided this was gonna be a grind it out game plan from the get-go, especially without Owen Daniels who for better or for worse is now the go-to receiver on the team. Good execution was hard to come by on both sides, due to poor conditions and top 3 defenses. Kubiak probably would have protected a one point lead the same way

The drops were very costly but I think your over estimating there effect a little. There were 4 drops, one for a touchdown by Marshall. Not to mention the Texans had a few themselves, one to Andre which would have been a huge play in the first series and the other to Graham which would have been a first down. The drops turned an excellent performance into a great performance by Texans Db's but give them there due they made a lot of plays break ups, interceptions and more importantly tackling, the one by Kareem Jackson on third and short comes to mind.

Fellas, fellas, I think we can pretty much sum up the Bears with this picture. The lady represents the Bears defense and the horse represents the Bears offense.
