I said the whole team. But it really Tice, my High School team I coach on does a better job calling plays, what the hell is run, run, pass and then punt. Davis and Hester neither one has any idea what the hell their doing out there, except not catching the ball. Forte because damn if there no hole, run someplace else, hell try running outside the line once.

And for all those bitching about Forte not getting it done, biggest difference in this game, Houston kept running, our D stuffed Foster early, but they kept running kept running, just making minor adjustments to the same stretch play, and he finally started to break it. Houston ran the ball 35 times to the Bears 23, Foster, who only averaged 3.5 yards had 29 rushes. they kept running. Ya Forte only got 2.4 yards per rush, but he only got 16 rushes, this team gave up on the run far to early. And BUsh, outside of his first rush/fumble, was running well, why did he only get 3 rushes? This game was never so out of the realm of winnable that we needed to give up on the run.
Ric, I think Tice called about as many rushing plays as he did pass plays, or it sure seemed like he did. We tried running the football and failed miserably at it. Sure, you don't abandon the running game too early in any game, but Tice did a decent job of maintaining a sense of balance despite the fact the only facet of our offense that even show up last night was the passing game, which I think only netted just under 140 yards total between Cutler and Campbell.

We had several opportunities to put this game away last night despite how poorly we played. That drop by Marshall in the end zone was a killer, but because he makes so many huge plays for us, I'm willing to overlook the occasional drops. That would have put us 7-3 in the 2nd Quarter. I still think we would have been better off ramming Bush up the gut inside the 10 yard line in the 3rd Quarter, and that missed field goal was a real killer. And then there's that shanked punt by Podlesh...that was ugly.

So many turnovers, misplays, and missed opportunities and we still only lost 13-6. I will say our defense was pretty awesome for the most part, especially pass defense. The run defense only allowed 3.5 yards per carry, which Houston gained like 120+ total yards rushing.

That being said, I don't think the Bears will win this division, and there's a slight chance that they won't win a spot in the playoffs depending on how the offense responds next week in San Francisco. If it shows up, then great, but if it doesn't, that's three losses, and the Packers have a leg up on us in the division with the head to head win back in September. That would mean we would have to win most of the rest of our games and hope to beat the Packers because the only game the Packers will play the rest of the way that will really test them will be against the Giants, who right now are playing about as bad offensively as the Bears.

Kellen Davis sucked all game long and did nothing good.

Marshall at least is Marshall and helped us go down the field. Forte needs to be used a bit more via run or screen plays. OL was good, Jennings was great. Melton was good.

In the end it was a TEAM loss like it always is a TEAM loss or win. The player that made the most mistakes and helped us most to not win the game was Davis, no doubt
