"Chicago relies on Cutler's big arm..."

The 49ers remain two up in the loss column on Seattle in the NFC West and don't rely on their quarterback play that much. They can live without Smith. The Giants are used to second-half drama. It's what they do

The Bears are the team to worry about most here. They have the Packers coming fast in the rearview mirror and a brutal schedule coming up, with five straight games against winning teams. Chicago relies on Cutler's big arm to overcome inadequacies on its offensive line. Cutler's concussion hurt the Bears' chances to beat Houston on Sunday night, and it could have repercussions in the NFC playoff race for weeks to come.

Does the coaching staff hold Cutler out of the game as a precaution because of a great SF defense? Cutler has taken many hits this year, including one from Suh where he sustained bruised ribs. Out of all the hits, this is Cutler's 6th concussion (what I heard earlier on the radio today). Does the team risk a 7th when this team has the talent to go deep in the playoffs?

I wouldn't call them overrated but their offense does not scare anyone. Also, with the possibility of Smith (who benefits from a great o-line) not taking the field, I think this would be one that I sit Cutler and have the back-ups duel. Even if we go .500 we more than likely make the playoffs. The team with the bye the first week has rarely made it to the Super Bowl in recent years. I wouldn't be surprised if they held Cutler out even if he was good to go because of the bad line.

They lost to the Vikings and they could not beat the Rams.
