Jags put up 37 on the Texans today & we couldn't even get one TD. I know, bad weather, let down game after a big win by the Texans, etc but seriously it's hard to believe. Chad Henne threw for 4 TDs. Chad Henne!

The positive: Anyone can be beaten.
Yeah, but Schaub put up 527 yards and 5 TDs on the Jags. He only had 95 yards and one TD against us. Take a guess which team (us or Jax) Houston fans would rather play again this year?
That's true Jimmors but the point is a bad offense like the Jags but up 37 points on a team we couldn't even score a TD against. Not only that but they did it on the road & we played them at home. I know every game is different but it's kinda sad if ya ask me. I guess I'm still pissed we lost a game we probably should've won.
yeah, but you are basically implying that the Jags are better then us. Jags did put up alot of points, this is true. They even had a huge lead. And they blew it. They allowed 500 yards (527, tied for 2nd most all time for a QB), and ended up losing, even with those points they managed to put up.
Call me crazy, but i would much prefer a hard fought battle that we had with Houston, where we simply failed on offense (and lost our QB), but still only lost the game 13-6 (where it couldve gone either way), then have success on offense like Jax did, and completely self destruct and allow the Texans to come back and win 43-37.
All about perspective.
Seriouly Jimmors? I'm implying that if the lowly Jags can score 37 against them we should be able to score more than 6 freaking points & we have to get ALOT better on offense or this season will be over long belore any of us want it to be. Jimmors if we had that kind of success on offense like the Jags did we would've won easily. This has nothing to do with are we better than Jacksonville. We whipped them. This is about for us to beat really good teams our offense has to be at least average. Hell, if we became a good offense we would be almost unbeatable.
In that weather, no way in hell was anyone gonna score 37 points, unless someone got to wear sneakers...
What law says we have to put up more points then "lowly teams" to win games?
NFL is all about parity now, and things change each week. Conditions change, personnel change (injuries mostly), gameplans change. Its a fruitless endeavor to try and compare our performance against a team to that of another. Plus, it doesnt even matter. All that matters is winning games, making the playoffs and winning a championship. If we get there on Defense while lacking in Offense, then so be it. Yes, we need an OL and TE/FB and maybe another WR to become a solid offense, but until we get them, we make do with what we have, which is defense.
and fwiw, ill take our defense against the Texans over the Jags offense any day of the week.
I agree with ya for the most part Jimmors. Obviously we need help at OL/TE but I like our WRs if they can stay healthy & Tice can start using them better. All I'm saying is IMHO we won't win a championship with the way our offense is currently playing. Which is a shame because I think we have the best defense in the league.
