Just reported on The Score using ESPN's Chris Mortenson as a source

This is big as SF was expecting Smith to play, and he was getting the bulk of the snaps in practice
-
Why? Is he a wuss? Brain damage, schmrain damage... it's football!
Where's that trollface? ESPN confirms.
Whose Smith's back-up? Wait...
I don't know, so...
Bears win.

SF radio says he failed the contact test, which is the final test before being allowed to play
-
Well, hopefully Smith is fine longterm and can beat the Packers again if needed down the road. I don't rejoice in injuries, but at least both teams will be on even footing in this match-up.

What's the contact test? Suh tackles you and then they see if you can see your fingers?

From how they explained it on SF radio, they put a helmet on you and literally hit you in the head
-
Great idea. Check out to see if the concussion is gone by giving you a concussion.
Might as well have Suh come in for a foot stomp to the head.

They force you to watch the movie Contact, and if you finish the movie and think Matthew McConaughey is a good actor who plays a convincing priest, then you fail the test.

Well that well increase our chances. I smell an INT and a fumble.
