people who defend our line need to look at what happens EVERY time they come up against an elite defence, or even a defence that just pass rushes well. its carnage! clay matthewa, as soon as he realised Webb is a complete scrub just pinned his ears back and came at him all game long, smith today just obliterated him. Carimi sucked massively too. every time we face a good team its the same thing!
unfortunately for us, the play-offs can be counted on for usually being full of the good teams! haha
shocking and pathetic.

the PO's..
Not full of GOOD teams , if the Bears are in
The passion of a few, to rule the many, that's Washington D.C.. Where else was that said before, about whom?

Weather it's a wildcard, or a first round bye with playcalling and game planning like what we saw the only thing they are going to get is ass-hammered. Any more Ja'Marcus Webb fans left should leave the building.
Arguing on the internet is like winning the special olympics, even if you win your still messed up.
Restore the roar!

There's no point in making the playoffs with this pathetic OL, terrible coaching, and inept offense. If we somehow sneak in as a wildcard (and that's unlikely IMHO), we will be playing the Niners, Packers, or Giants on the road. That's one-and-done.
We are 1-3 against teams with an over-500 record. The one we did beat was on opening day at home with Mathis out hurt and Luck playing his very first game. They've improved a lot since. If Indy were in our division, we would have to play them again this year away. We would very likely lose.
Against the other 3 above-teams we have IN TOTAL:
a) scored 23 points
b) put up a 10-2 giveaway-takeway TO differential
c) been out-gained at least 2 to 1 in yardage
Any last lingering hopes I had for Webb becoming a decent LT for us are now gone. We will have to "buy" one in FA and the OL in general will need a serious overhaul (at least one and probably 2 high draft picks).
When it comes to OL play and coaching, isn't it amazing how other teams seem do things the Bears just can't? Like make Colin Coppernickel look like Joe Montana (and that was before Frank Gore got anything going on the ground). Like score points against a "good defense". Like not melt down on national TV. Like look as though they're actually prepared. Like...run and block.

blah blah blah. We're gonna win 11 games, people. Amazing how two bad weeks can make you forget so easily.

I think everyone here knew at the start of the season that the O line sucked, the only person that didn't was Tice. What makes matters even worst is this team not just last night, but in the past is unwilling to move on from the starters and bring in our backups and see if they can get the job done. I might be wrong but even in the Tennessee Titan game didn't our starting O line remain in the game.
Most of us got caught up in the hype that Tice was saying about how our Offense was going to be explosive. What he forgot is you can't have an explosive Offense, if you O line is giving up sacks at the rate we are. You can't have an explosive running game if the O line doesn't make the holes needed for the runningbacks. It also doesn't help if your OC seems to only have one running play in playbook.
How can our QBs have a QBR over 90 if they are either being sacked, hurried or just flat out running for the life. Where does it make sense to keep TE and RB in to help block because your O line is the worst in the NFL and has been for the past few years. Wouldn't it have made more sense to truly evaluate you O linemen before the season. Or in our case maybe its the evaluator who dosen't know how to evaluate. Like that under Tice we had one if not the worst O line in the NFL, so what do we do we promote the guy. Tice must be a far better talker the he is a coach.
Where is it written that the Defense can't have an off night. Our Defense didn't lose us the 49er game, neither did the O line, the RBs, the WRs and especially not our backup QB. The only person responsible for this weeks lose as well as last week is Mike Tice and his inflated ego in thinking he could make something out of nothing. Oh I haven't forgot Mr. Smith he is just as guilty of thinking a failing OL coach would make a good OC.

I won't take the blame completely away from the defense. Their Offense was lighting them up. Not only did they have an off night, but they allowed the sanfran offense to rack up 30 on them. Even if our offense played mediocre, that game wasn't winnable.

It IS explosive - in the same way that diarrhea is.
