Losing to the Texans bothered me because I thought we lost that one on coaching. But I thought we played ok. The 49ers game we lost in every way it was possible to lose. Coaching, speed, strength, skill -- you name it. it bothered me because the coaching issues became more consistent and we had a breakdown across the board, including our defense.
It makes you question how good the team really is and so you go into the next game looking to see if it is a real trend or the stars came together for a tri-fecta of all phases of the game playing badly. The Vikings are not a pushover, but are not as good a team as the 49ers. I am anxious to see how we do tomorrow.
Unfortunately it made me realize we aren't as good as I thought we were so I just take it game by game my friend & hope we win for whatever reason. If by some miracle we win the division & get a bye we just have to win one game to get to the NFCCG. Miracles do happen on occasion. If we are able, for whatever reason, to win that game anything can happen. Now, do I think any of that will happen? No I don't. I think we will be lucky to make the playoffs. But being a true & lifelong Bear fan its all I've got because I can't root for them to lose to get a better draft pick next year & hope that gets us closer to a championship. Every loss kills me for a week or until we win again.
Every team in the league has it's weaknesses & you just never know what might happen from week to week so all we can do is just root for our boys & hope they get it done. If they don't there is always next year but I won't give up on them until they are eliminated. If that happens I'll be pissed as hell like everyone else on this board. I've been a Bear fan since the late 60's & believe me I've suffered through MANY frustrating seasons worse than this one. But I will admit I had higher hopes this year than most of the last 40+.

We use Bush and Bennett for the first time in a series and we get a TD for the first time in 3 games.

Bears get a 2-point conversion. Now that's something you don't see everyday.

TD pass to Spaeth.
25-3 Bears so far.

team looking good again. part of that is the team they are playing, part of that is they are actually commited to the run. Now the team has a huge lead and the D will pin their ears back and the O can play relaxed, history says this will be a route.

The team is looking good. Question is whether or not they can sustain it for more than 1 game.

They can sustain it against boarderline playoff teams or worse. The real question is if they can make this work against legit playoff teams.

Great playcalling, Scott looking good. The third tackle being used as a TE, where did i hear that on here? Winning against a team with a winning record? Doesn't count, because now they won't make the playoffs....

That's a good point. You're not going to be facing bottom feeders and middle-of-the-pack teams every time.
EDIT: They just switched games, saying it's going to a more competitive contest. I dunno about that. 2 quarters is more than enough time to erase a 22-point deficit.
