Thanx the Ben, I am just as frustrated as most if not all Bears fans with this debacle on the OLine. I am normally a positive but passive fan when it comes to posting and will always try to bring good comments to the table. It is also refreshing that many posters do their homework and present good debate when it comes to this forum.

Hi there, dabears! Welcome to the message boards. It's always cool to get new members to come on and post, but it's even more awesome to see people from faraway countries come on and give a uniquely international twist on their perspectives of the wide world of sports. Most of us don't bite (too hard, that is), and we are always looking for good conversation on here.
We don't suffer trolls very well, and those who break the rules of the board tend to meet their maker with the infamous "Ban Hammer" that belongs to loki520. Over the years, loki has developed many different techniques to use in order to apply the wrath of the "Ban Hammer" on his/its victims. He's a nice guy, though. Just as long as you don't troll or flame people on a regular basis, you're fine! lol (I hope that I didn't scare you shitless!)

Hey Dag, thanks for the welcome. Don't worry about me being scared shitless because I won't do anything to provoke anyone. I am pretty much a person who abstains from confrontation eventhough I have been a passionate Bears fan for over 3 decades. Most of the content I have read comes from people who genuinely love this team but try individually to prepare a well thought out post. Now that's a thought, let's see if Lovie and Tice can read some of these opinions and learn something about coaching and while we're on the subject, preparation.

No problem man. I'm just glad to have you aboard. It's always good to have a little spice and variety to the conversations.
Speaking of the fact that you live in Spain, are you an actual Spaniard or a former Chicago native? If you're a Spaniard, I have to compliment you on your English because it is very good.

You have to HAVE an OFFENSIVE LINE in order to say it sucks.
We are along way from that.
When we put GARZA at Center ... instead of drafting an OL...a really fucking true OL.
We all knew how this shit was going to play out.
We knew it for the last couple of years.
If fucking Halas Hall knew what the rest of the NFL KNOWS ...
5.5 sacks by one SF defender in one game.
Any fucking idiot could figure this out ... and has been for the last couple of years ...
except at Halas Hall.

What's an offensive line? That which goes by any other name is but as sweet.

Nah man, I'm a former Chicago native. I grew up on the south side until I was 17 and joined the Army. That's how I eventually wound up in Europe and I have been here ever since. To keep on topic a little bit the NFL is very popular in the UK and also in Germany. I wish it were more popular in Spain but soccer (Real football as the Europeans call it) rules over here. As you might know Spain is the reigning World Cup champ and a favorite to win it again in 2014. I catch all my Bears games with a yearly Gamepass. I'll be posting a lot more often and while I'm at it Rachal wet the bed big time and now has been put on the reserve meaning the OLine situation just got worse. Webb and Spencer on the left sie does nothing to inspire me. Does anyone know offhand if they make a good run blocking tandem if Forte sweeps to that side?

One good thing about the OL is that there will be a lot of probowlers comming out of the NFC North because the opposing defenses will be padding their sack stats.

11-23-2012, 08:42 AM #130 Plan of action this offseason for Emery to "fix" (or at least vastly improve) the OL in particular and the O in general
A. Please God let there be a starter quality LT or 2 available in FA. We need one desperately. Clear whatever cap space is required by any means possible. Sign a FA LT (Long, Clady, Bushrod) above all else. Webb can become the swing OT.
B. Use the 1st round pick to draft the best available interior OLman. He must be a "starting quality" OG/C. There must a hugely compelling reason to draft any other position in the 1st. Basically, it should be a foregone conclusion no matter what public "spin" is placed on the pre-draft day evaluations. Need 2 new QUALITY STARTERS ON OL MIMINUM.
C. Strongly consider using the 2nd round pick on yet another OLman. Could be an OC for the future or even a RT prospect (like Osemele was this year). I don't want to panic about Carimi yet, but he's been bad enough (and regressing rather than progressing) that Emery should consider it if there's someone available he likes.
D. Hire a real OC. Someone who knows and has proven he has the knowledge and experience to run a modern NFL offense. Whether than means demoting Tice back to OL coach or firing him outright, I'll leave up to Phil.
E. Strongly consider a new HC. Lovie's strengths do not include a working knowledge of offense. Fair or not, two straight playoff-bound late season meltdowns in a row (and I do think we are about to see the 2nd) means a change at the top.
F. Kellen Davis, Matt Spaeth, and Chris Spencer need to go. Don't flame me for this, but Devin Hester is also expendable given cap space needs (see A). He's adds little on offense, besides taking snaps away from better receivers, and his days as a game-changing return man appear to be over. If you can squeeze a draft pick out of someone in trade, take it. I'd rather see us bring in a new yound speedster guy to handle returns (with +/- Weems) and develop as a deep threat. Why can't we find a guy like the Colts did in T.Y. Hilton?
