He is a guru at getting people to believe he is a guru. Other than that, I see nothing.

He can make good OL into great, maybe average into good.... but no one can turn shit into average

Well, if ALL the guys we have are shit, don't you think Mr. Guru had more than a little say as to who he kept? As in Webb and Williams for instance. That is assuming that he is not at fault for not bringing them along -- that ALL his players are completely untrainable -- which I don't buy.
I think he is at fault for both who he has and their development. Bu that's just my opinion.

He is only really at fault for Webb (who he campaigned for) and Carimi (who he also campaigned for)
The others were thrown at him.

Anyone have any insight as to why he is gone? Was he let go, was he too embarrassed to be associated with Monday night? Was there a perceived issue with the team or coaches?
Per Tice:
“We’re looking at everything. We have to find a better way,” Tice said. “It’s not like at this point in the season you could take (an undrafted rookie like) James Brown, who I’m very high on, and say ‘O.K. you’re the guy now.’ That’s desperation.”
So per Tice, he is now at the point of desperation.

Rachal was told he was being benched for Spencer. It doesn't get much more embarrassing than that.

Are you serious? Tice really does have no clue as to shat he is doing. Rachal has not played well, but he was NOT the weak link on Monday. The tackle play was the weakest link (although there was some pretty good runners up). Rachal has far outplayed Spender. Tice's memory does not have to go too far back to remember Spencers play.
Well, I have made lots of jokes at Tices's expense, but in all seriousness, if he thinks Spencer is better than Rachal, we have a very serious problem with Tice.

My mistake Motown. I'm still a bit of a newbie here. I assumed most folks thought he was a great OL coach. I did anyway. I bought into the hype.
