you arent the only one I got flamed all the time for my pixy dust remarks. And believe me Im not celebrating being right either. It just we did the same crap when Marinelli was brought in here. I wasnt falling for that shit again. It took a 100mil to get our dline right not Marinelli. So why really believe bargain bin crap would work on oline? We keep seeing bad ass olinemen in FA yet we always settle on the left over shit while our gm is running around trying to find gunners for ST wasting cap on that crap.

Well, I have made lots of jokes at Tices's expense, but in all seriousness, if he thinks Spencer is better than Rachal, we have a very serious problem with Tice.
Hey, I agree 100%.
I think the plane's going down in flames, so for some crazy reason "they" thought they'd offer up Rachel as a sacrifice to make it look like they were doing something. Anything.
The two worst offenders Monday night were Webb and Carimi. They kept getting bulled around like they were boys facing men. Carimi has stunk all season, but maybe he gets a pass for being inexperienced. Webb had looked a bit better in recent games, especially when he and Rachel worked together.
It's a "house of cards" now and imploding IMHO. Every Bears fan on Planet Earth understood that we HAD to upgrade the oline. The Bears chose not to. Now the Bears are exposed as idiots.

6 years later and a new gm same damn problems

And so with one swing of the bat, Tice puts in Spencer and not only makes the line worse but at the same time gets rid of one of our best OL. Nice. Very shrewd.
And I assume Lovie was sleeping when this was going down?

No, because Tice has full control of the offense.

I think it's a mistake by all concerned --- as stated above, nobody was pointing at this guy and calling him the weak link.
So the guy must think he was getting scapegoated --- still, opportunities aren't limitless in this profession & a day will come, probably sooner than later where he realizes that walking out wasn't the right thing to do.

There was a reason the 49ers let him go though.... I am sure some team will grab him

My concern is that guru might be driving a wedge between some of his OL. The whole line was victimized on Monday. However, the two tackles provided many hours of texbook coaching material as to what a tackle should not do. By far the tackles were the worst on the line. Then Tice takes it out on a G. I just wonder what that does to the thinking of the other non-tackles.
And boy that conversation between Tice and Rachal must have been memorable. Rachal did not seem like the kind of person that anyone was going to use as a scapegoat, nor the kind of person that would easily suffer a fool or take any crap. That must have been quite an interesting exchange of viewpoints.

All I can say is "Rome wasn't built in a day." I get the Martz/Tice comparisons, to a point, but Tice is still learning as an OC, whereas Martz was on his second or third turn, and even had two seasons, while Tice is being offered to the gods as a sacrifice for the sins of Angelo. I am in agreement that he should be doing more than what he has, but no one really knows how much say he had in personnel decisions, anyway. Hell, Cutler didn't have a say until Angelo was fired. You always hear stories of guys saying all the right things to the public (which is what many on here have chided Cutler for not doing) yet trying everything they can behind the scenes to change things up.
