The OFFICIAL Offensive Line Sucks Thread
It goes from bad to worse. Isn't Brown a tackle?
LINK to the article Rachal leaves Bears, Brown called up LAKE FOREST, Ill. -- Chicago Bears starting left guard Chilo Rachal has left the team for personal reasons and has been placed on the reserve/left squad list. Rachal started eight games for the Bears at left guard this season after he replaced Chris Spencerin Week 3. A five-year NFL veteran, Rachal spent the previous four seasons with the San Francisco 49erswhere he started a total of 38 games. The Bears elevated rookie guard/tackle James Brown for the practice squad to fill Rachal's roster spot. Brown was a rookie free agent out of Troy who played well at times in the preseason but failed to make the initial 53-man roster.

Well SOMETHING needs to be done. Can't win with this line as it is. Brown showed promise and who knows ............. he just may be a upgrade. Can't be much worse can he?

Another Tice "Project"...
An UFA that no NFL team wanted. He couldn't even crack the 53 man squad this year - with the bums we have, that speaks volumes about his "talent"...
Just another pixie dust pipe dream.

We really won't know until we see him in a game. Maybe they just wanted to bring him along slowly but this forces them to throw him into the fire. We'll see how that pans out.

Rachel quit the team.

A source familiar with the situation told ESPN Chicago's Michael C. Wright that Rachal became upset after he was told he was being replaced in the starting lineup by Chris Spencer. Rachal started eight games for the Bears at left guard this season after he replaced Chris Spencerin Week 3. I really hate when they say "a source close to the situation". To me it lacks credibility and we will never know for sure unless there is a statement by Rachal.

Fascinating how Chilo gets yanked after a while but the fail of Webb continues. More fascinating is how Cwill was dumped for Chilo. I have hopes for Brown and he's probably less of a bum than most of the starters.
Chilo was really tough huh? Things get tough and the tough leave town.
