How secure is Lovie's job if our season tanks?
If Lovie fails to right the ship is he toast?

If the Bears fail to make the playoffs, Lovie is likely fired. Along with Tice, Marinelli and Toub. If the Bears make the playoffs, all will likely get extentions

pros and cons lovie fired
con=means we tanked
do we trust these fools with the next hire
will they go cheap or get someone accomplished
pro=finally some new blood
new philosophy
new attitude
new life
less complacency
I guess the way I look at it if we got rid of Lovie to get Cowher Im for it. If these guys go out and bring in a first timer and we cross our fingers they got the next harbaugh I stick with Lovie. Guess I really dont trust this team

I'd say "yes" not only to a season that ends without playoffs but also to a one & done post-season.
Because imo, after a 7-3 start last year & a 7-1 start this year, "1" one & done post-season to show for it doesn't cut it. That would be pitiful.
Whoever that next guy turns out to be, I'd like to see somebody brought in that comes with a successful (meaning explosive) offensive background.

A one game out playoff,or no playoff,Lovie is history.
I think,anything less than a deep run,they are all gone.
The money spent hasn't produced results,that means heads will roll.

This bored is really far too negative right now, to dignify that...

Henry, I responded to your sentiments in another thread, so I'm not going to spend another minute trying to explain myself to anyone.
That being said, I think as long as Lovie makes the playoffs, his job is safe. But, at season's end, I do see widespread changes taking place, beginning with the offensive line and the wide receivers and tight ends, in precisely that order. On the coaching staff, I think there's a better than good chance that Tice will be fired as offensive coordinator and not asked to return to the coaching staff. There is a dynamism to Phil Emery that we didn't see with Jerry Angelo, so I expect the changes to be swift and far-reaching. He will force Lovie to do things against his will in order for Lovie to keep his job. Anything less than a playoff berth will result in the termination of Lovie and his coaching staff's contracts.

depends on the success and who else will be available.
