Good Read: "Mike Tice Is Ready To Mold An 'Elite Offense' In 2012"
Good read:
LINK to the article Mike Tice Is Ready To Mold An 'Elite Offense' In 2012 "I know there is a certain way to win football games in this league, been in it a long time, and I think I have earned the right to say I've had a good track record everywhere I have been."
"I've helped establish some good offenses over my career and I've played in some good offenses over my career. I think I know what a good offense looks like.
At the end of the day, we're going to have a certain personality and at the end of the day it will be one of explosiveness and one of intelligence and one of rhythm and one of tempo and one of enthusiasm. You have to have all of those to be an elite offense."

I'm starting to think theonlything Tice can back up is a boat ride or a ticket scandal.

Seriously, he's got 4 spots ready for an elite offense, and this year it ain't gonna happen. We can realistically expect a good offense. The negativity over running into very good defenses in back to back games seems to cloud a lot around here. I would say our offense has been effective against everyone else, except when cutler was dealing with nagging injuries (det, car). Don't forget our biggest troubles have been against 3-4 defenses, and in two of em, key drops turned the momentum against us. I really think too many are poisoned by bad games and unable to balance that with changing expectations vs. looking at how every team in the league is playing. All the elites have had horrible games, many of them at home, but each bounce back, and there is no reason this chicago bears team can't, either. It's fine to disagree about things, but very few here can even imagine the playoffs with a 7-3 record, against many very flawed teams, which i find disturbing.

We have to beat the good teams too though. And I'm OK with a loss against a good team or two. But the failure of the offensive line (Tice) makes me angry. He vouched for this crew before the season started. He didn't know what he was talking about (at best) or was blowing smoke up our butts (at worst).
I'm angry.
I do have high expectations. The offense needs to be fixed. That means getting a "real" offensive coordinator & "real" talent on the offensive line - and a "real" coach who can get them playing solid football.
