It appears a massive body blow has been delivered to the Seattle Seahawks' playoff hopes.
NFL.com's Ian Rapoport reported Sunday that Seahawks starting cornerbacks Richard Sherman and Brandon Browner are facing four-game suspensions for violating the NFL's policy against performance-enhancing substances. Both players are accused of taking Adderall and are appealing the potential suspensions, according to a source with knowledge of the ruling.
The news comes on the same day the Seahawks' defense gave up 17 fourth-quarter points in a road loss to the Miami Dolphins.
The timing of the potential suspensions remains unclear, but losing both cornerbacks would be devastating for the Seahawks (6-5). Sherman is playing like one of the five best cornerbacks in the NFL. Browner is a quality starter who made the Pro Bowl last season.
The Seahawks' defense is largely defined by its physical secondary. It's hard to overstate how much the cornerbacks mean to the team's chances of playing in January.
How come our people keep getting hurt but not the other teams ?

Looks like the juicers at secondary for Seattle will be allowed to play while they appeal.
Seattle has a lousy road rercord this year.
Of course they are going to play the NFL isn't going to do anything that might help the Bears.

The Seattle Seahawks have signed wide receiver Charly Martin from the practice squad to the 53-man active roster and signed wide receiver Corbin Louks to the practice squad.
Louks began his college career at the University of Utah where he played running back for the Utes, rushing 60 times for 380 yards (6.3 avg.) and four touchdowns during the 2007-08 seasons. He then transferred to the University of Nevada in 2009 and had to sit out the season. He opened 2010 as the starting safety and moved to wide receiver in 2011. He caught 26 passes for 303 yards and one touchdown during his senior season.
The Seattle Seahawks have released wide receiver Phil Bates from the practice squad and in his place signed wide receiver Lavasier Tuinei to the practice squad, the team announced this morning.
Tuinei returns to the practice squad after being signed on October 31, but then was released on November 6 to make room for wide receiver Charly Martin on the practice squad.
