Yes, Cutler is very valuable. He is the Bears MVP. But NOT the NFL MVP

He's just got a passion for winning - to the point he'll get in someone's face if they seem to him to not be "all in" for winning. And he doesn't suffer fools (like coaches who are clueless).

And, he is good at tying J'Marcus Webb's shoes each day. I'm hoping that by the end of the season, Webb finally learns to tie his own shoes & remember the snap count.
I've had friends of mine (fans of other teams and not Cutler accolytes by any stretch) tell me that they have developed a new respect for him based on toughness, what he's done despite a terrible OL, and how he get the Bears wins that other QBs just wouldn't get. I do think there's a very good chance we would have beaten the Texans in the 2nd half 17-13 or something like that if he hadn't been injured and out.

He's grown on me too. He's not going to put up eye-popping numbers with this O and OL, nor does he need to if Tice calls it right. But he finds a way to make plays when we really need them and his connection w/ Marshall is undeniable. All that said, LOL on him being an MVP. He is one to this team but not to the league as a whole by any stretch. I do believe that if Emery/Tice/Lovie/better luck did...

    get him a decent OL
take Hester out of the O except as a bit role player only
    Jeffery stayed healthy
Bennett was used more like he was vs Tennessee and Minny
the TEs could just get us 3-4 downfield receptions per game
the RBs were featured properly (running & receiving)

...he would put up very impressive stats. Next year maybe.

"I was just trying to toss him the ball," Cutler said afterward with a laugh. Funny line, but it was only more evidence for those who long ago dismissed Cutler as a punk. "Unsportsmanlike" is a pleasant term for Cutler compared to other labels that have been slapped on him.

Anyone see if the ball was signed? Could be he was just giving him a Cutler game ball as a momento of the game. You know... just bein' a good sport.

There are a bunch of better choice for MVP and I would not over look a couple of rookies, RG III and Andrew Luck are having great rookie years. This year I think it a qb will be the MVP since running backs are not tearing up the league and WRs are not tearing it up either. Peyton Manning, Tom Brady, Shaub and Matt Ryan are having good years. Which one is having the best year is hard to say.

The 49ers rook QB is also pretty damned good, but hasn't played a whole season, so don't see it going there.
