The Packers are a team right now that is a shell of what it was last year. Cobb has stepped up nicely for them but otherwise they are worse off in many keys ways from last year. They looked like ass last night in NY, much like we did in SF the week before. No question key injuries to Matthews, Woodson, and Jennings are hurting them but what has been exposed are:
1) No running game at all. Not even a hint of one. Even against un-loaded boxes.
2) A secondary that is pitifully bad, esp. w/o Woodson.
3) No pass rush to speak of w/o Matthews.
4) A front 7 that can't stop the run consistently.
5) An OL that is almost as bad as ours. Not quite, but not far off.
6) Rodgers, as good as he is, is not that big a threat when poorly protected and w/o Jennings or a real RB to take the heat off. He threw a lot of inaccurate balls last night.
I could easily see them losing at least one and maybe 2 other games vs. non-Chicago opponents but ultimately I think it will come down to the SF game in mid-december with the winner taking the division and the loser getting a WC. Homer call here...
The two games I think we may lose are the GB and Detroit game. Probable loss against GB and probable win against Detroit.
Both could be wins and it's possible we sweep the last 5.
IMHO Seattle is my biggest concern, even more so than the pack game

yeah. I think about this game too. I still say we win, but you may end up right. They are not a pushover.

I think I heard it was an ACL tear & you're right MP, it sucks bigtime.
Sorry 99, but with the bad breaks we've been getting I can't think past next week. Seattle will be a tough game. We need to hold onto the ball, stop dropping passes & a fast start & make them one dimensional. Basically with all the injuries, not to mention OL wasn't good to begin with, we don't have much if any margin for error so when the plays are there to be made we have to make them.
Crap. That would explain the immediate IR then since an MCL sprain only is usually a ~ 4 week thing. That sucks for the team and for him personally. DRose ver 2.0

Arguing on the internet is like winning the special olympics, even if you win your still messed up.
Restore the roar!
Here's the depth chart off of the Bears web site. Look at the changes (including Carimi's benching).
