Bears promote Trahan, sign DE Whiteside

LAKE FOREST, Ill. -- The Chicago Bears promoted linebacker Patrick Trahan from the practice squad to the active roster on Wednesday, and signed defensive end Aston Whiteside to the practice squad.
Trahan played in five games for the Bears in 2011, posting five tackles on special teams. Trahan has spent the past 11 weeks on the club’s practice squad.
Whiteside, meanwhile, spent the first five weeks of this season on the practice squad and the majority of the preseason with the club. Whiteside originally came into the NFL as an undrafted free agent with the Dallas Cowboys out of Abilene Christian University.

It would be nice to have ANY oline player who can play well. Next thing we'll hear is that they've re-signed Olin Kreutz 
p.s. I believe Webb will be playing better now that Cutler is keeping his shoe laces tied. I think the poor guy has been tripping over his own laces with those size 22 cleats.

Let's not expect too much and then we won't be disappointed like we have with everything else about that offense so far this year. I'm penciling Gurode in with a grade of Useless + with an up arrow if he actually makes it through an entire game without having to suck down an entire bottle of oxygen.
I'm getting to that age where a lifetime warranty just doesn't mean as much to me anymore as an afternoon nap.

Funny jackie, inaccurate but funny none the less. I give it an 87 on a scale of 0-100. If Mikey was still in charge you'd have gotten the 100. I think George knows a little more about the game than Mikey did and besides he's the only McCaskey with a yacht that I know of.
