Pick him up for the rest of the year for a SB run? Absolutely. It's not like we're gonna get any more talented of a player digging through the practice squads, but anything beyond this year, no.

The Guy had nearly as many sacks in 1 year as Izzy has had his entire career.

I like Izzy but he has 5 sacks this year and Babin has 5.5, pretty even, but the fact that Babin had 18 last year, is beyond what we could ever expect from Izzy. They are both 32 years old.

I would see a contract for the remaining of this year and next could only make us better.

This Defense is NOTHING without a pass rush and Babin would make this pass rush even stronger.

But we aren't getting him so there's no point talking about it.

Hey while we're at it lets talk about how we should have gone out and traded got Peyton this offseason, b/c he's a huge upgrade over Cutler. Or maybe we should trade for a few of the top OT's; it's not going to happen, but it would make the team better right?

Isn't this the guy who cried all over national media that the Bears were using "dirty" blocking. No thanks!

Defensive end Jason Babin ripped the Bears and offensive coordinator Mike Martz today, saying the team used a dangerous block to take him out on a play early Monday.
"I'd assumed (Bears coach) Lovie Smith has enough professionalism to not do something like that," Babin said.

I don't see the reason why we should sign another DE. We need Oline guys way more, sure Babin is good but he doesn't come free. Oline-->DE

If you have the chance to add a player with this quality, you do it. Point is, that he won't make it to us or won't clear waivers. If he does, he is an upgrade for free

Reading the philly boards the general consensus is he:

    - is a one trick pony
    - will quit on run defence
    - will quit on anything not related to upping his sack total

Philly fans have told me that Babin is awful at playing the run. He just runs straight for the QB. So he would be more of a detriment to the team. We already have a rookie to fulfill that pass-rush/not play the run role in Shea butter.

Your reasoning is off, here. It is a possibility we get this guy, there's none of that silly comparison.

Can you imagine Peyton playing behind this line? Evel Knievel would have had less broken bones.
