8 & 4 with the Vikes - GB - Arizona - Detroit left.
We have a good chance of ending this at 11-5. Certainly no worse than 10-6. That's about what most of us predicted before the season started. For a team without an offensive line, and still needing another off-season to fix the Jerry Angelo mess - is anyone really surprised by us being 8-4 right now?
Alshon will be back. Some others, who are dinged up will be back too. I don't think this thing is over by any means. Lovie has his faults, but his players seem to bounce back from games like today.
The sun will still come up in the morning
Trestman - Kromer - Tucker - DeCamillis
I'm looking forward to seeing these guys coach. Hope they're good.

Yep, and it's going to be the same sun we've seen for quite awhile: 10-6 early playoff exit. If the injuries continue it's 9-7 all over again.

The question is when will or have the Bears played their best football? I hope it wasn't at the beginning of the season. I am fine with them squeaking into the playoffs so long as they play their best ball then. This defense does not look dominant anymore though; it has made rookie quarterbacks look like veterans. The offensive line is not good enough to depend on the offense, so the defense has to be the one to carry the team.

We need Alshon back. The offense could be decent once he returns. The pass protection looked better today. As some have pointed out, we need to be scoring more points than the 17 we scored today. The defense is needing more help from the offense, and with Alshon's return we'll have that.
We can beat any of of those last 4 teams, including the Packers. Finishing with 10 or 11 wins isn't beyond our reach. And anything can happen in the playoffs.

I really like your positive attitude 99. I wish I had it too. Maybe if we beat the Vikes I'll get it back. We lost a game we had no business losing today & it will be at several days until I get even begin to think positive. Going to work tomorrow it going to suck big time.

I also don't see us going any worse than 10-6. Hopefully we can be 12-4.

I don't know about all that. Getting Alshon back is perhaps a plus but remember he still is a rook with a previously busted hand and knee scope. I can't pin a lot on him.
Although anything can happen in the playoffs it requires getting on a roll and peaking at the right time. I try to stay even keel-not too high and not too low with realistic expectations. I really can't see anything more than a 10-6 early out playoff season. I'm hoping against it but that's how I see it.

I was surprised & excited at 7-1.
7-1 probably gave alot of people unrealistic expectations, I know I fell victim to that.
Now reality has come crashing in & I'm depressed at 8-4.
Back in August, I probably would've been happy if ya told me a 8-4 start was in the cards.
Going into the season, I didn't think this was a Superbowl team, but I did think #2 in the division was likely.
At 7-1, I kinda bought in to other people's hype & exuberance, I was hoping they knew better than I did.
The losses before today were all to teams I thought the Bears would probably lose to.
Not today though, this was really a huge opportunity missed in the now semi-unrealistic hope of a 1st round bye.

Pass pro was "better" but Sea didn't blitz all that much so .. eh . And the run blocking wasn't exactly opening up alot of holes so to me it's really kind of a false positive.
We don't beat good teams that don't give us the ball via turnovers . And Lovie teams are too reliant on turnovers to win . Until this team is good enough to win without that .... it ain't good enough (.)
