Lovie isn't a game day coach. When was the last time the Bears won a big game? The can't beat the Packers, 49ers, Pats, Texans, Packers, Falcons! I would say the last big game they won was the Jan 2007 against the Saints to go to the Super Bowl.
I like your post here. I mean the team loves him and they play hard for him. The problem has been the talent around us. Let Emery get that talent to better the team and people will be saying something different.....a better O-line, some receivers that can play off the bench, better T.E. and younger defensive players and we will be straight.

Sure, better talent especially on O is needed. Specifically we need 2 new starters on OL and one additional pass weapon (WR or TE) plus some forethought at the LB position. But, if you're gonna keep Lovie (and I don't necessarily object to that), its imperative that he has a good and dynamic and influential OC at his side. Not just a yes-man. An OC who can gameplan and playcall properly and one Emery respects and listens to when Lovie is pushing too hard for more D players and neglecting the O, like he tends to do.

We don't have $15 million in cap space this year like we did last. I'm all for "depth and competition" in FA but was just figuring realistically that a LT would take up the vast majority of available discretionary salary cap and that's the bigger need to fill if possible.
