The blame goes by the name called Age.
I would say lovie for Having him in the last game of season on virtually a meaningless play with no chance at playoffs. (Blew out his knee if you didn't remember)
That's it. And he plays a position that is especially hard on a human body. Sometimes a player like Ray Lewis can beat the odds and play longer, but that's the exception, not the rule.
Brian is high mileage, old and slow now. Nobody's fault. Even the great players eventually get old.
But, great teams plan ahead and groom young players to step into the shoes of older stars. The Bears failed to do this. We have Briggs nearing the latter years. Roach is a marginal starter at best. The LB corps probably needed attention before now. Soon we will be in crisis mode (again) where we failed to be proactive (like the offensive line woes). Eventually these GM failures catch up with a team.
I really really really hope Emery is not like JA, and once he fixes the Angelo mess, he can begin to be proactive and build a team that is a power almost every year. An elite franchise.
This is a product of poor drafting and FA pick ups. It was said before that this team is poor at producing home grown talent. It as been showing through the years. The Bears start grooming players and injuries have less of an impact.
I blame earths gravitational pull for this injury.
If we were up by 30 points Urlacher wouldnt have even had to be on the field.
This is a team that has all it takes to be up by 30 points.
Injurys and an OL ... are the issues.
