Lovie has his strong and weak attributes, but one of his strengths is that players are passionate about wanting to play for him and be a Chicago Bear. You rarely hear of any discord in the locker room. Other than a few incidents, his players don't embarrass the organization with off-field scandal.
Rather than gut the team this off-season, I'm hoping we can upgrade what we have (Tice at OC). I believe Emery has what it takes to get the Bears to a Super Bowl with Lovie as head coach. I'd like to see us keep Toub and Marinelli as coordinators. Just upgrade the OC. Fix the oline, and fill some holes we have. That is SO doable this off season through the draft and FA.
Anyway, here's the DeCicco article:

Linebacker Dom DeCicco happy to back with Bears
Dom DeCicco estimates that he's been 100 percent healthy for about three or four weeks now since undergoing surgery to correct a sports hernia. After getting re-signed by the Bears this week, the linebacker is hoping to show it.
"It's a chance to show them that they made the right choice in bringing me back in and it's definitely an opportunity," DeCicco said Wednesday. "I'm just trying to prove them that they made the right decision in bringing me back."
With linebacker Brian Urlacher out at least three weeks with a hamstring injury, DeCicco was brought in as insurance. Nick Roach will move from strong-side linebacker to the middle, while Geno Hayes takes Roach's spot with Urlacher out. DeCicco should back up both of them.
"[Urlacher] just congratulated me and told me he was happy I was back," DeCicco said. The Bears, though, have always thought highly of DeCicco. If he wasn't injured, DeCicco, who was second on the Bears with 17 special-teams tackles last season, likely would stayed with the team. Instead, the Bears waived him with an injury settlement.
"We're lucky to have somebody like Dom available for us, especially this late in the year," coach Lovie Smith told ChicagoBears.com. "He's a good player to start off with, but he also knows the system. He knows what we do special teams-wise and what we do at the linebacker position. He's one of our guys. We didn't want to get rid of him last time; he just had an injury and we had to. It's good to have him back."
DeCicco said he recently worked out for the Lions, Raiders and Patriots. But DeCicco said he always hoped to return to the Bears, especially since he was comfortable with their cover-2 scheme and system.
"I was always hoping I'd end up back here," DeCicco said. "But at times I thought I wouldn't. I'm really happy and blessed to be back here.
"It's a blessing to come back to an organization I loved. And to know everybody, it's awesome."
What does his envision his roles being?
"Right now, I'm concentrating on the stuff they've always had me do, and just trying to get back into it," DeCicco said. "Play special teams and keep learning."
