I don't want to see Hester or Weems getting reps next year at WR. Bring in a young kid who has some upside, and let him be the guy on the depth chart that doesn't get many reps next year, but is learning and improving. Cherry pick the best guy between Weems and Hester to be your ST's guy. Dump the odd man out.
    Trestman - Kromer - Tucker - DeCamillis

I'm looking forward to seeing these guys coach. Hope they're good.

That's exactly what I'm suggesting. The "Hester as a WR" gambit has failed repeatedly and miserably. Since neither he nor Weems add anything significant beyond ST (unlike Randall Cobb or Patrick Peterson), then PICK ONE to keep as the primary return man and unload the other. Weems is cheaper and he covers kicks as well as returns them. The difference between their scoring abilities is not what it once was and Hester's days as a game changer on ST are rapidly dwindling, if not already gone.

We need the cap space and maybe the draft pick that could be obtained for better purposes than keeping two returners-only on the roster who add virtually nothing else beyond special teams.

Hester has not failed at wr, he's a good/great 4th wr, and a great ST player. He's not a great #1 or 2, he's a below average 3. Go back and watch some of the early games where they were getting him involved 2-3 times a game and he was making big plays; great td grab, great 3rd and long grab. He also isn't much of a cap problem b/c he's not going to ever hit his escalators.

Hester as a forth option, will never work. How often do the Bears send 3 recievers out? Mostly it's 2 out the rest of the team pass protection.
The passion of a few, to rule the many, that's Washington D.C.. Where else was that said before, about whom?

But, I think even with that, they will have to lower his paycheck. He is being paid like a receiver still. And we know that is he not a receiver.....so I don't believe he will take a paycut. Also the funny thing is that I remember he was saying that he wanted to go back to returning. Something about the return game, being his bread and butter. Ironically, he has butterhands.....lol
