Bennett out; Hester practices again
Not good.
Maybe the fabled "Hester Package" will finally be rolled out Sunday

Although Chicago Bears wide receiver Earl Bennett has been ruled out for Sunday's game at Minnesota because of a concussion, it appears help is on the way.
A day after returning to practice for the first time since missing a week after sustaining a concussion in the Nov. 25 victory over the Minnesota Vikings, Devin Hester again practiced on a limited basis Thursday inside the Walter Payton Center.
Hester has yet to be fully cleared for a return to action after suffering a concussion against the Vikings on Nov. 25.
Rookie wide receiver Alshon Jeffrey also was practicing again and barring a setback, he should return after being held out the previous two games following arthroscopic knee surgery.
Cornerback Tim Jennings (shoulder) and running back Michael Bush (ribs) also were sidelined. Coach Lovie Smith expressed optimism regarding Bush on Wednesday but offered no information regarding Jennings.
Defensive tackle Stephen Paea (foot) returned to practice.

Trestman - Kromer - Tucker - DeCamillis
I'm looking forward to seeing these guys coach. Hope they're good.

Couple thoughts, I think you will again see this team go back to throwing the ball to Forte more, which is a good thing. I also think you'll see more of Dane SAAAAANNNNZAAAAAANNNNNBCAAAACHAAAAA; which isn't a bad 2nd option for a pocession guy.

We didn't miss Hester when he wasn't here. We will miss Bennett.

Precisely correct. Hester being out (not that I want anyone injured) was actually a good thing in that it forced Tice away from wasted targets and toward productive ones. Bennett >>> Hester as a WR. If he hadn't been concussed, Bennett would have been the game-winning hero for us last week with over 100 yards & 2 TDs. Hester adds virtually nothing on O.

We cant keep getting gaffed like this with losing all of these players and hope to win. The idea was Marshall-Jeffery-Bennett, and now we are down to one.

Couldn't agree more. A lot of us anticipated this dynamic trio as the season approached. Two 6' 3"+ threats on the outside with a sure-handed, proven solid possession guy in the slot.
WTF happened?
Jeffery was off to a great start and lead the NFL in rookie receiving yards but has been hurt almost continuously since. Bennett has missed time too but also was ignored for entire games at a time while Tice was busy trying to fulfill the latest incarnation of the "Hester is a wide receiver" fallacy. Massive waste of potential this year at the #2 & #3 WR positions.

Screw Hester we need Jeffery way more. Seriously I hope we can have Jeffery back on Sunday it would make our offense way more dangerous with him insted of Hester. If we actually had a Hester package and we knew it was working then it might have been otherwise ..

No doubt of that.

What a kick in the crutch last Sunday. The Bears' need to somehow, get that "W" in minnesota... I'm hoping by next Sunday's Cheese-head game, they hopefully have Bennett back, be @ home ( which is seems to be a toss-up lately), and one more week that "O" line can get some kind of a groove. This Sunday's game is important, BUT, the Cheese-head game will either make or break this team...

I just hope Jeffrey doesn't become an injury prone wide receiver. That would be a beautiful thing if he comes back and ride out the season and post with our two receiver threat....
