what about....?
The "i want this guy on the team" thread. Obviously a premier LT would take priority, but i think Dwayne Bowe would be a nice addition. Probably cheaper than any other time it would be possible to get him, and seeing how the defense is on the decline and needing to add players via the draft, he could help us out immensely, with he or jeffrey as the number 2, and with a top 4 of Marshall, Bowe, Jeffrey & Bennett, we could afford an injury and keeping going without missing a beat.

Bushrod would be my pick at LT. If we can't get him DRAFTING one in the first ( I know it sounds crazy). He can learn on the job better than the currently low ranked dunce.
Bushrod and drafting a few OG's would be step 1 to rebuilding the line.
Arguing on the internet is like winning the special olympics, even if you win your still messed up.

Drafting any O linemen is a waste of a draft pick we could use far better. The only way to get our O line up to grade is to go after FA. We don't need top FA we need good O linemen.

We need to sign one top OL (LT) in FA and draft another quality (interior) OL in the first 2 rounds. That's the minimum.

Bears need a LB, badly. Bears might also need another WR and a TE with actual talent. The Bears have several needs.

Okay, um, i wasn't exactly clear, but: seeing how no one disagrees that we need quality & quantity on the o-line, who would you like to see on the team, besides that? Lookin for names, i shoulda been more explicit

Need veteran talent for the OL. Maybe Long (if he is healthy) not sure who else is available in FA but that is where we should build the line.

Agreed. However we still should draft at least two including one for Depth purposes.

bowe and marshal have a similar game and similar pay scale just wouldnt be realistic though I wont complain lol
I would like a list of potential FA before really saying anything cause the biggest need come next year will be MLB and I would say Patrick Willis though he will never be available

FA: Long (LT) + decent vet TE if possible
1st: Barrett Jones (OG/C)
2nd: bpa LB
4th: WR (Knox replacement)
Worth keeping: DeCicco, JBrown
Vet Re-sign: Melton, Louis, Roach, Urlacher (for cheap if he wants to play)
Cuts/releases/traded/gone-in-FA: Spencer, KDavis, Spaeth, Rachal, Weems OR Hester
