Has he been dinged up? Cuz Forte sure has and Bush has been incognito most of the year, even when Forte has been ineffective. 1 rush yesterday. You gotta figure if we had been pummeling Bush up the middle more vs. Houston (rather than waiting till nearly the 4th Q), that outcome might have been different.
Bush has apparently morphed into every other backup back we have ever had.
remember Chester Taylor? We were thrilled to get him. We remembered how well he did in Minny. He got here.... and we hated him.
how about Marian Barber? Same story. Happy when he came here...... and he too died on the vines.
Bush seems to be going down the same dang path.

yeah, but I'm not sure that it's due to performance. He has actually done well, I think.

I just don't get it. We go and put together the best RB duo in the league, with complimentary styles and then we have no idea how to use them. Ditto for Hester for that matter. Or any WR not named Marshall.

JJ, i'm not saying the run game would save us, but at 3-4 yards per carry, that is enough to get you, on average, either a 1st down or 3rd and short. Now I know it all doesn't round out like that, but the more you give the ball to a back like Forte the more he's going to give you 10-20 yards in a huge chunk. Last night the rb's averaged 6 yards per carry, they should have stuck w/running the ball.

The reason jay throws to brandon he catches the ball // the davis experiment should be over put the guys in who can catch the ball evan //use forte as a wr dang use the players you have//hester should have a post play every quarter he might not be a number one but use his speed

This is what happens when you don't have an oline. Just some bums. I watch teams with solid olines opening up huge holes. Our guys can't even spring Forte. Sometimes Forte gets something on his own, but there are few holes to run through. So, not many backups are going to do much for us without better blocking. This has been going on for a few years. We've just been riding the incredible talent of Forte.
It's pretty sad.

Trestman - Kromer - Tucker - DeCamillis
I'm looking forward to seeing these guys coach. Hope they're good.

What is the common denominator here?

Ravens fired Cam Cameron yesterday. Perhaps the Bears can give him a look once the season's over.

Tice is not an O.C.
Too much talent on this team to be in this shape despite the shitty OL.
BTW ... How do you play football ? Watch Tom Brady with an OL against Houston.

Agree, 2-1 to end the season is best case. GB-L, AZ & Detroit-W. Realistically, I think we're going 1-2 with losses to both GB & the Lions. Detroit does find a way to lose more efficiently than the Bears right now though. Up 14-0 at GB and just blew it. I don't think any of the three teams we have remaining are playing that well at all, even the Packers. They are winning but are still looking rough.
