What happened to Shea McClellin Sunday vs. the Vikings?
I had the game on the TV, but did not watch it very close. Can someone fill me in on what happened to McClellin? Looked on the main C Bears site this morning, but didn't find anything.
Another concussion set back? Crazy, were rumors early that he had multiple and Shea was quick to clear up early that he had suffered only one concussion in college. What's up, dumb luck?

I heard he left with a knee injury

I'm not seeing anything about him. But w/the way the Vikes were running he wasn't going to help anyways. He's limited to pass rush, and w/Ponder that isn't even really necessary.

The score mentioned a knee injury. That's all I know

Much appreciated, was Jones'n for some info.

He failed miserably to keep containment on runs. He's got to get better when he's out there and facing a run.
Trestman - Kromer - Tucker - DeCamillis
I'm looking forward to seeing these guys coach. Hope they're good.

He was our #1 pick. I really hope he improves next year or Emery's picks won't be much better than we were getting, Obviously his sense of urgency and ability to go after it are on a completely different level, but so far Shea doesn't feel like a #1 pick. I'd say Jeffrey feels like a #1 and Shea like a #2

I agree with you. I am not calling him a bust or anything. Way too soon for that. But with the benefit of hindsight, Chandler Jones would have been the better choice as a 4-3 DE. Shea seems more suited to being a 3-4 OLB.
If we had known the Wooten was going to come on as he has and Izzy was still going to be playing as well as he has, DeCastro would been the wiser 1st round pick. At least then we would have our LG of the future already on the team and not have the multiple OL positions at once that need new starters.

It's always easy to look it the back mirror but ofcause Shea havn't had the impact we/I were hoping for but he is still in his rookie year, how much did you notice J.J Watt last season? If I'm not mistaken this is his 2th season and he is doing pretty amazing well, so we can still hope for Shea to turn out that way.

still have a feeling that Shea will play as OLB next season in a 3-4 D
