Emery will make the decision as he should but you can bet your spurs and ten gallon hat he'll seek the opinions of the rest before he decides what to do and there's no chance that will come until after this season is dead and buried.
IMHO it already is dead, just not quite buried yet. After Sunday the Packers will have lowered the casket and then the Lions can start tossing some dirt on it. The Cards are so hapless we could win that one with half the team on IR. Oh wait. half the team already is on IR. No, the Cards game should be that one good bye red rose on top of the burial mound.
In a way I'd be sad to see Lovie go but it's time. If we don't experience another change at the top then all we can expect is a future that mocks the past. It's time to move past the Jerry Angelo ear for good and that includes Lovie. We need some new blood at HC.

This thread is about Packers vs Bears. So in that spirit, here is a list of things I do NOT want to see this game....
lack of intensity
more injuries
Webb Nation
false starts
red flags
Dropped passes
interceptions (except by our D)
Erin Rodgers' thong
stupid timeouts
blown red flags
poor tackling
bad angles
well, maybe I do want to see his thong, just to see if it's real.

That's correct Jim and besides Rod Marinelli is a very good DC and if anything a guy worth keeping as is Dave Toub. These are guys who have faced some adversity and the losses of key players yet have managed to turn their units around.
AP blew us up early on Sunday but the defense despite lacking some of it's key players managed to tighten up and keep the Bears in the game. If the offense would have been able to put points on the board instead of leaving wasted yardage strewn all over the field we'd have managed a win in spite of giving up two TDs to their defense.
Lovie is set for life and if or when he leaves I doubt it will be for an immediate hire anywhere else. He'll lay low for a while until the sting subsides and then look over his possibilities.

Good luck with any and all of it Shark. The Bears were no match for them in September and they're even less of a match for them now. The Packers are adjusting to the loss of some of their guys to injuries while we just keep getting worse. I don't think it will even be a close game.

No, I don't think it will be close, either. I just hope we can avoid a 58-0 shellacking. I really just want to see this team play a respectable game. I don't really care if they lose, as long as they do it with an honest effort. I just really hate embarrassing sub-standard play. They should at least look like an NFL team when they lose, not some gradeschool lunch recess flag football team.

And you know I no longer care what the outcome of any of these games are. We controlled the NFNC 4 weeks ago and the only thing that stood in our way was poor coaching and bad decision making coupled with a few key injuries.
Well there isn't much you could have done to prevent those injuries that wasn't directly related to how poorly the offense was performing. If Cutler get some protection maybe he isn't always at as much risk. If the offense doesn't lay down and die after that early 4th down stop against Seattle or Bennett doesn't drop a sure TD pass then the defense never gets gassed trying to hold off Wilson at the end of that game.
Sunday was no different. We roll up 458 yards and leave most of them on the field. Lovie had an opportunity to at least make an attempt to prevent this from happening yet he chose to stick with what wasn't working and we continue to lose because we have no offense. We've averaged just one TD and a FG in those 5 losses and in four of our wins the defense scored as many points as the offense did.
Whatever can happen in these last three games that will most quickly force Phil Emery to make a change in how things are being run downstairs is what I want to see. If that means getting shut out on Sunday and hammered by Detroit then so be it. This teams needs a systemic change. A coaching staff and vet player enema if you will and until that happens the long term results won't change.

Just remember, the Bears can't WIN this game, ONLY the Packers can LOSE. Thats how it will be in the Media.

Well as hard as this may be to admit my guess is that IF the Bears come out on top it will be because the Packers LOSE it and no other reason. The defense is sliding due to injuries and the normal attrition of being on the field far too much again.
The offensive line is a disaster who couldn't even handle Seattle or Minny very well so the offense has no confidence at all in their ability to move or even hold onto the ball and speaking of holding on to the ball we have a whole lot of receivers who can't and one of the best who can injured again.
Sorry but I've already reached the point of putting this season on the shelf again. Even if the stars favor us these last three games we haven't been able to do enough offensively this year for me to believe we have any chance in the playoffs at all. So why prolong the inevitable. This is no longer a competitive team.
I'd just rather the season end which would allow Phil Emery to begin working on whatever changes need to be made to prevent still another year like this one. It's no fun even watching Lovie and the Bears shoot themselves in the foot game after game. There are better ways to spend my Sundays and I have.

Now, now, it's just three, four more weeks , minus an act of god. You'll be missing football as much as me. WE wont /can't wait for it to start again.
