Still this game comes down to PRIDE ... if we can fuck the Pack out of a better playoff spot ...
then lets fuckin do it.
Which puts us right back in again.
I'd love to see us throttle the Pack at Soldiers ... it's what we live for.
I HATE being told it's a forgone conclusion about how the way the season is going to turn out ...
when the whole season hasnt been played.
Haven't you been doing that the entire season?

It would be great to whip the Pack. In fact a win might turn this season back around. Sadly, I just don't see it happening my friend.

Other than the good feelings that go along with beating the Packers the game means nothing just like it means nothing as far as making the playoffs or not making them.
This team can't beat any of the better teams because we have no offense. Even if the Bears made that playoffs they'd be one and done so from my perspective it's time to let this season go and focus on what needs to be done in the offseason.
The starting point for that should be one hell of a serious and open minded evaluation by Phil Emery, Ted Phillips and George McCaskey as to whether or not Lovie Smith should even be permitted to stay and finish out his contract. If it was up to me I'd vote no.
For the entire duration of Lovie's reign as HC the Bears have won more often than not by the efforts of their defense, creating turnovers for scores, and setting up the offense with a short field to work from. The offense has never shown and ability to play the kind of ball control grind it out football that would be a perfect match for the defense we play.
It's time for a change. Lovie Smith is not a good offensive coach and he's never shown and ability to hire one either. Add to that the way we ignored acquiring top offensive talent for years and have stuck with too many marginal offensive players for too long and what you end up with is what we have. A very middle of the road team who can't win the big games.
As far as I'm concerned this team's season was over the day that Lovie said he wouldn't make a change as far as play calling was concerned. I knew that was "let's throw in the towel day" and so should the rest of us. We've been trying to play championship football with half a team all year long and it finally caught up with us.
Sunday was the bitter end to another frustrating season. In back to back must win games against teams we should have been able to beat we blew it. The offense failed to put Seattle away and we paid for it late in the game. Sunday was a joke. How does a team roll up 458 yards on offense and come away with just 14 points? And on top of that it seals it own fate by giving up two defensive scores!
Tice called 53 passing plays again so what ever balance that was necessary to restore went right out the window again and just like with Martz behind that line we continue to put Cutler at risk each week and each week he gets hurt. It's a done deal. It doesn't matter if we win three more games or lose them all this season is over as far as any hope of a championship is concerned.
It's finally getting time to talk about what to do to turn the team around and from this point on that's the only topics I intend to discuss. This year is already history even though it has three games yet to play. We'll be lucky to win one of them and finish 9-7.

I'm getting to that age where a lifetime warranty just doesn't mean as much to me anymore as an afternoon nap.

Good news for you Soul; the Mck's will not be in one the decision, it's all up to Emery and maybe schwetty Teddy. Rumors from inside HH say the Mc's are taking a hands off approach now.

I think we will beat the Pack...if for no other reason than it makes it that much harder fire Lovie at the end of the season...if we simply collapse these last 4 games, it makes it soooo easy to fire him...problem is, Lovie has a rather proven and annoying track record of doing just enough to save his ass...beat the pack at home and make the playoffs only to be one and done will be just enough to save his sorry ass yet again...
Reductio ad absurdum...it's how we roll...

We shouldn't fire lovie. Make him DC and hire a new HC

I don't see the Bears really pulling this one out unless the Pack melt down. If they do lose then Lovie is not holding up to any of his goals and that should be good enough reason to give him walking papers.

I don't see that happening Jimmors. Lovie wouldn't take a lesser job with the same team. I could see him being a DC for another team though if the Bears have the balls to let him go. JHMO
