Who would you hire to coach the bears?
You play the role of GM Emery. What is your dream coaching staff (please only use available coaches)

We don't know and won't know whose available until the season and the playoffs end. It's too early for a thread like this Benji. Too many qualified coaches are still in the playoff hunt.
I'm getting to that age where a lifetime warranty just doesn't mean as much to me anymore as an afternoon nap.

That's a good point Soul.
Brian Urlacher
Thanks For The Memories

Same kinda goes for FAs. Who knows who is going to be let loose and who will be resigned. I just hope Emery has been taking good notes and acts wisely with his off season moves. I would really hate to see another uneventful offseason.

Well, everyone is saying fire lovie, when we dont know if there will be anyone better than him on the open market. So I figured I would play along :D

Oh I understand that Benji I just don't know whose hats could even be tossed into the ring. Anyone we do look at needs to be an improvement and that won't be all that easy to find.
Lovie isn't a bad coach and much of his mediocrity can be attributed having struggled through several seasons without the guns he needed to win the battles but this year was not one of those.
This year he's had weapons but has been undone once again by his offense and another of his hand picked OCs. Add to that being severely out coached in four of the five losses and it's hard to come to any other conclusion other than some changes need to be made. One of those options is replacing Lovie but there are others as well.
I'd just be repeating myself to cover all the reasons why a change is needed but it is needed and if the only way to get the job done thoroughly is to replace Lovie then so be it. It would be nice to see it done another way but as it stands there are two things I think we as fans would be foolish to rule out.
1) Brian Urlacher's career with the Bears may well be over.
2) Lovie Smith's career as the Bears HC may well be over too.
It's just stating the obvious and facing what is along with the fact that the 2012 season is history as far as the playoffs and a potential championship goes. If you or others don't want to admit that yet it's fine. It's just my opinion.

Hey Phil:
Thanks for signing on. Is it true that Tice will be our next HC? He has improved our OL and has gone on to improve our Offense. Obviously Lovie thinks the world of him. I think it's time he takes his Guru show up to the next level!

Gruden or Cowher, but I doubt Cowher likes Cutler.
