Who I would love to see Emery target

My opinion on what's going to happen to our coaching staff?

Lovie will not be extended, but he will not be fired. He will enter into his final year with the ultimatum to produce. Haha, that's not really true. He will go into his final year because the Bears will not want to eat his contract.

Lovie will then blame this whole thing on Tice. Tice will be fired, and hopefully Webb will follow him out the door. Lovie will then need to replace Tice. He will be a lame duck coach with no options. He also does not seem to know anyone. He will look outside of his office and offer the position to the first person he makes eye contact with. This will be Jeremy Bates, because if he is smart, he will know this and find reasons to linger outside Lovie's door.

My only hope is that Bates knows more offensive people than Lovie does.

No one will want to come here if they let Smith coach for his career again. We'd be setting him up to fail. What will be the difference if we let him coach the last year? No players will want to come here, no coaches, nothing, why bother? Was our play calling that bad this year? Was Webb that bad this year? individually I thought Webb was okay but the OG position needs help, since Lance Louis has been gone our OL took a step back.

Les Miles from LSU He's 59 so I don't know if he'd do it but he'd be worth a look.
Chip Kelly from Oregon Yes his offense is unusual for the NFL but with a few tweaks I think it could work out nicely.
Tom Clements from Green Bay knows the NFC North well.
Greg Roman 49ers OC.
David Shaw he has signficant NFL experience
Sean Payton if he doesn't return to the Saints.

Kelly is far too unconventional for the Bears. IMO he'd be a nightmare too, if his offense goes 3 and out then the defense will have barely had a minute to grab a drink. Also his offense works because the talent level and speed of the college game is significantly less than the NFL. You invest 8 million a year, average, in your QB and he's going to get blasted on a regular basis because that's how your offense is designed? Also what happens when the QB gets older? When guys like Jared Allen, Cliff Avril, Bruce Irvin, JPP, Ware, Aldon Smith are all likely faster than your QB his system is a recipe for disaster. Just doesn't make sense to me.

I already voiced against Tom Clements, he hasn't done anything to make me think he'll be successful as a top guy.

David Shaw and Greg Roman would be good and Sean Payton will not be leaving the saints.

Sure, they would be rookie HCs, but there is no denying they are smart and know what they are doing. I would take them over any of the retreads that have been fired for failing at their current location.

IF Lovie gets fired we need someone who really can lead this team to a Super Bowl. I'm not sure if both candidates can do that. I do agree that Tom Clements is a really good QBC/OC but I don't think he has all the tools to become a HC and Dom Capers' head coaching record (48-80) is not really impressive.

Like the idea of Chip Kelly and Tm Clements; and Roman a lot....ecspecially Clements.

Not this teams style to go w/former HC's, and Gruden scares me b/c of his history w/QB's in TB...it's scary and not just the starter either, that guy made the chicago bears pre Cutler look stable. But I would love Payton if he could be here.

Don't know much about Shaw.

I wonder if Mark Cuban would be interested in buying the team.

Regarding the Gruden I am speaking about his brother Jay but I do agree with your concern about John Gruden but he'd be an upgrade over Lovie but I don't think he'd leave the booth with ESPN.
