Jackie, Campbell was a failed qb in Oak and Wash, he's not any good, never was.
The reason Cousins is out there is b/c RGIII was hurt, he's just as cold as anyone else. But he has talent, he has potential, and he has a HC/OC/QBC that can coach him up.

BTW, right now we are behind Minny and Wash for the Wild Card, so not only do we need to beat AZ/Det(both away games) so I doubt that will even happen, we need A LOT of help.
This team....this staff...I'm actually sickened by this, my stomach has actually turned b/c of how poorly this team has played. Btw, only 1 WR/TE caught a ball all game, Marshal, the only other players to catch a ball: Forte, Allen. WTF is that, how in todays NFL do you not have a WR or a TE besides your #1 catch a ball? And the QBC, who was brought in to install the passing game that knew Cutler/Marshal so well? He's failed at his job also, Cutler is not a better qb then he was last year and he has his QBC and his #1 WR, and another "big body go up and get it WR". Last year it was well, to many deep drops and Cutler doesnt' like small quick wr's, but the big go up and get it ones. Well now he has the passing O and those WR's he wanted and he is still struggling. Time to get someone in here that can install an O that the QB will like, but also will be effective and making the QB better.

Ric - you seem to be the only person that has noticed this or at least has said something about it. I have been saying that the passing game goes beyond the OL. We have other very serious issues. I do think the whole mindset needs to change (HC), but I do think that the passing game has regressed when it should have gotten better.
I think unfortunately, as you say Cutler has also gone backwards. I am very leary of Bates getting the OC position. I don't see progress with him even though he has had these players before. What is the WR coach teaching? Why is the game under Bates as bad as it was before Marshall? How can Bennett and Forte all of a sudden become receiving bums? Why aren't they being used correctly?
It's a mess and it's time to clean house top to bottom. I don't think the players are as bad as many think they are - I am even wondering if the players on the OL are as bad as we think. I do think they are not very good, but they were playing better during some parts of last year. I think the whole thing has gone backwards.

BiH, dead on, Rodgers got a ton of pressure today, got sacked and hurried and hit, and they still were able to move the ball effectively and he didn't throw an awfull pick.
I like Cutler, he's a franchise guy, and I believe he can get you to the SB, but I'm begginging to wonder if he'll always struggle against elite teams b/c of his penchent for turning the ball over. It was an issue in Denver too, not just here, and he had a great OL and solid WR's, and one of hte best offensive minds in the game in Shanny. The guy is just a pick machine at times and it's always going to cost the Bears a few games. Even when he's not throwing picks, like last week, he was still throwing the ball high or into the ground. It's not just the OL or the WR's, it's not just the OC, Cutler HAS to get better and be better.
This offseason this team gave Cutler everything he wanted, His boy Marshal, his passing O in Bates, and even another big WR in Jeffery, and he still struggled.
BTW, F off for Urlacher and Conte for bitching about the fans not being 100% behind them or booing them. YOu just played your way out of the playoffs, and you were expected to be SB contenders; your season is a ginormous fail, what do you expect, a standing ovation? F u, and that stupid smug attitude you got from your smug ass HC Lovie.
Buffone btw took offense of this also; b/c he inferred that the media and fans don't know what they are talking about....Buffone pointed out that he's pissed and he played and does know what he's talking about. And there are multiple media people that are former players, bears players in Chicago. F off to both you jag's.

Sad but true...

Well, that whole deal is a PR issue that I'm sure ownership is not happy about. I think some shit may be flowing downhill on that. You don't crap on your fans and the media. No one is booing for any reason other than the product on the field sucks. So fix it -- complaining that people are vocal about not liking a crappy product is not the answer. It makes the organization look worse.

Lets not forget that Cutler was also allowed to audible this year, and we praised him earlier this year b/c he audibled 40%+ of the game, and now he holds no culpiblity and it's all on Tice/Bates?

SEE BOLD ... You got it ! JCUT and Campbell are dead with this OC. Put Tice back in charge of OL and let him have input for the draft of an OL Or else fire the fucker. It's a failed experiment designed to be CHEAP. It can work thru the first half of the season ... but then it gets EXPOSED.

After the Houston game ... that took the wind out of us with JCUT being knocked out. A small fine was imposed on Houston for knocking out our QB with a cheapshot.
A surgical strike on LANCE LOUIS hurt us further with yet another small fine imposed for the cheapshot.
Maybe we better learn from who we are playing against.
As far as Campbell goes ... he's a rookie learning a new team.
And yes so are the two QB's for the Redskins. But go back to : SEE BOLD.

Green Bay would do that too. Remember during the Ron Wolf era how they'd take QB's between like Rounds 4-7? Let's see they got Mark Brunell, Matt Hasselbeck and Aaron Brooks. That worked pretty well for them eh?
Also if worse comes to worse with the Skins a few years down the road they can always trade the backup.
