    what we learned

Real simple way to beat Chicago, and it's played out well the last half of this season, and for the last several years, don't turn the ball over and the greatest D since 85(sarcasm) cannot stop you from putting points on the board; and the Bears O cannot score much on their own. There is something to that, there is something in the philosphy of this team that where the D is everything, and it's fundamentally flawed.
Chicago O: What's to say? THis is what we've seen all year. The only thing different was they actually fed the ball through Forte/Allen and it didn't change the outcome. Part is on the wr's, part is on the rb's, and the OC, and yes part is on Cutler too. Everything about this O is disfunctional; but the biggest part, the biggest problemi s the OL, it does not protect well, nor does it open holes well. Before anyone starts complaining about Hester, that route that cuased the pick, per Lovie himself was a bad throw, not a bad route. I think it was both; it looked like it was supposed to be a post of some kind and the CB sat on it, and there was nothing hester could have done about htat but get OPI, or slide deeper, asa much as hester didn't try and get to where he needed to be, Cutler should have never thrown the ball, by the time he started throwing that ball the route was already busted(imo, lovie said just a bad pass). What the hell was that pass after the fumble to the endzone w/Jeffery? well covered and Rodriguez was wide open....poor decision. The Bears had great field position all day and could do nothing with it all day.

Chicago D: Still the heart and soul of htis team; unfortunately it's a tired and beat up heart/soul. If this side of the ball doesn't hand the O a sore, it won't. If the D doesn't get a turn over, it ends up out there all day and just gets worn out; and now they get worn out in the first or 2nd qtr. Do they even really care though? How do you give up the 4th and 6 to a team that has only got 4 of 17 4th conversions? The 4th and 2 I'll give ya, but 4th and 6?

Chicago Coaches: Well you told this team and the media this was a must win; and you didn't do it. You are now tied w/the great teams like Minny and Wash, wtg. Not only are you going to struggle to make the playoffs, you're going to struggle to win another game(imo) you are not looking so great as to be able to count those as sure fire wins. Last year you tried to blame the melt down on Cutler/Forte, what is the reason now?

GB O: Well per usual, they do not show they fear anything about Chicago, 4th and 2, meh no issue, 4th and 6; bah easy peesy 1-2-3sy. Slant, what is it about the GB slant that makes it impossible to cover? They've only been doing that shit for 20 years, not one of the Bears coaches has figured out how to stop it???? Really?

GB D: Well they said we don't fear the Chicago O, even w/their new toys and you can see why. NFL football teams worth their salt should not struggle to get 20+ points, ecspecially when their D gives them 2 TO's. They own Cutler, they don't fear Cutler, they don't fear Forte or Marshal either.

GB Coaches: see GB D, it's the same damn thing, but they don't fear this D either. McCarthy said they had decided to purposefully stop scoring this year and center on field position and putting their D in a better position to play well, how nice would that be? To have a coaching staff understand you cannot have your D on the field to much b/c it hurts them. How sick are you right now knowing that GB is actually holding back on O on purpose for the sake of their D?

If the Bears end up firing Smith this year, please, please, please get a good long thought to GB's OC.

    to add:

Jeffery really hurt this team; as a wr, ecspically a young one, you cannot push off so obviously push off; and it ended up costing him on that non D PI call.

Sorry, Lovie and every other peice of this staff has to go, no playoff s 5 of the last 6 years, and cannot beat Rodgers; it's time for a whole new team phisophy on O and D.

nah the new HC needs to be able to work w/Emery to help rebuild this team. Need to make sure you get it right, and they are able to hire competent assistants this time around.

What we learned today and every other game:

Mike Tice was a terrible choice for OC.

    1. Looking at GB, they have so much talent on offense its unreal. We need a real TE, a better O-line, and decent slot receiver (Bennett if could ever stay healthy) to complement Jeffrey & Marshall.

    2. Cutler should of thrown to Evan R. in the flat instead of Jeffrey after that fumble recovery.

    3. Cut Hester, he has lost a step. Thanks for the memories though.

    4. The D played pretty good actually.

We learned that the Lovie era is over.

In 9 seasons under him, the team never finished higher than 17th in total offense.
Nine long years to fix or completely rebuild an offense --- nine long years of abject failure.
I don't think the question is what "we've" learned --- the question is has the management of this team learned anything.

    1. Jeffery's killed us today.
    2. The Bears Defense is breaking down.
    3. We need at least 2 new O-Lineman, a new TE and maybe a new Slot WR.
    4. Where was Bush?
    5. Mike Tice sucks.
    6. Lovie needs to be fired.

I think Lovie has to go also. He said it himself goal number one was to beat the Green Bay Packers. He has consistently failed at his number one stated goal. Hold him to his own standard. I was for extending him earlier this season but when you drop another game to the Packers something has to change.
