Just to clarify something in my previous post (separating my opinion from my assessment).

I have no confidence that Lovie can handle the offensive side of things, I also think the Bears need to find a (new) HC who can.

However, just because the Bears get rid of Lovie, does not mean that his replacement will automatically be better. There is a big difference between just doing it and doing it right. Also there is the question of whether the franchise will want to eat the salaries of all the coaches that they fire.

Again, do the Bears need to clean house, yes (particularly on the offensive coaching side). WILL they is an entirely different question....

It is the difference between those two thoughts that lead to the final thought of my previous post.
"Professional Armchair Quarterback" and other oxymora.....

I COMPLETELY agree with this. Getting rid of Lovie (and I think we need to at this point) only gives us the POTENTIAL to get better. It also gives us the potential to get worse. Lovie is definitely not the worst coach out there. But I don't think he can get us to the SB either unless we invest in some of the best football minds around him to prop him up. Emery does not have an enviable position right now. I think he hit a home run with Jeffrey, but only got on base with Shea. He needs to hit a home run with Lovies replacement. If he does, we definitely have enough talent on this team to build around.

Get us some good coaching, fix the OL, some TE's that can catch, plug some holes in an aging D and I think we can make some serious headway in post season.

So if we find a way to lose to Arizona, do we Fire Lovie immediately so we can get the pick of good coaches?

That must be in the minds of someone besides me?

I personally think that even if we go 8-8, this organization does not have the balls to make change. Ron Turner, and JA were both here entirely too long.

I want to see the Bears pursue a Real Football Coach and solve our O-line problems this Offseason.

Is that too much to ask?

Most of the (active) good coaches won't be available until after the post-season because their teams will be in the playoffs.

8-8 and Lovie will be gone IMHO, and Emery will clean house. As many have stated on this board, backed up by all the reports from inside and outside Halas Hall, the decision rests solely on Emery. We will see.

Honestly I hope we LOSE out. I say this because i do not think we will make the playoffs with vikes skins and Seahawks having tiebreakers and giants in contention as well.

I want to just finish 8-8 get a top 20 pick and seal lovies and staffs fate.

Use that top 2 picks on quality olinemen (baring opportunity for T'eo) and go back to waiting for August

Very depressing to be saying "next year" but with the crap we've put up I don't see us making the playoffs regardless

Lovies idiotic lack of care for an oline and tices failures in development and Personel should get them both ran outa town

    Sickening

Skins get the division, Seahawks take one WC. We win out, we are in because the Vikes will lose at least one against the Texans and packers

There is only the Vikes in front of us for the 6th seed, I don't see any other senerio that is realistic. We need to win out and Vikes lose one.

I'll never give up on a season until we are realistically out of it. Last year we knew going into the last game that we had no chance of going to the post season, but Lovie Marches all his stars out there to try and save his own skin.

And of course Brian gets hurt, and say what you want but the Hamstring could very likely be related to over compensation due to the knee.

Wow, I am totally open to gettting rid of Lovie, but he will simply cost too much and the Bears organization do not have the balls to go out aggressively to find a legetimate coach.

True but I think we'd just get killed in the first round and give lovie leverage to not be canned

Worst case scenario is we win out and still don't get in so we have lovie, Tice and 20+ pick in April
