When you think of all the great games and seasons Brian Urlacher has given to the Chicago Bears fans, I think he's allowed to be emotional right now. If he has his coaches back, then I respect that - even if Lovie should be fired, I still respect Brian having his back.

Fans need to grow up. Turning on Brian Urlacher now is classless. Booing your own players is classless too.
So, Brian is allowed to be "emotional" right now, but the Fans aren't?

Brain needs to grow up too...some fans boo...I personally don't like it either...but it happens, usually and most definitely in this case, with good reason...

There is no "right" in any of this...just different shades of wrong....

I figure it's one thing for a man to give his entire adult life to the sport of football, and then be emotional at the end - like Urlacher.

It's another thing for fat, spoiled, Bears "fans" booing their own players. Usually they are people who never played a single down of football. Often fat and drunk idiots at Soldier Field.

I agree with JJ to the extent that these players are far more vested in the results of these games than we are. After all, it is their livelyhood and to us it is merely recreation. Over the course of my years, I have attended many professional sporting events (mostly baseball and football), and although the teams I have cheered for have not been very good (Cubs and Bears), I have never booed them. I've booed the refs, but never my team.

However, let me just add that as a fan, we have been force fed that "this is a business" and "we are professionals" for years. Both the corporate and player sides have shown us that there is no loyalty in their business, and players can tell us "I don't care what the fans think" and we're supposed to still follow them and worship their play like little lost puppy dogs? Kiss my ass. Do you realize how much some people pay for the PSL's at Soldier Field? If anyone has the right to boo, it's those people that shell out thousands and thousands of dollars for the priviledge of freezing their asses off watching mediocrity, season after season. The more money you expect from the fans, the more responsibility you have to earn it. THAT'S why they are booing!!

One last thing I would like to say on this subject, and this is critical. Brian, most of the booing you are hearing is not for simple bad play, series or even game; the boos you are hearing now is the chorus of frustration over the course of several mediocre and disheartening seasons. Most fans know that you can't win them all, but when you expect so much from us, then we expect a winner on occasion.

Brian has always given everything he has on the field for the team and the fans. I just can't get down on the guy for getting frustrated right now. It isn't about money here IMHO.

Money doesn't excuse bad behavior. Just because I buy a jersey and pay money for a ticket, doesn't mean I should behave like an idiot booing my own players. But maybe I'm just an old man who is clueless. Nowadays if we don't like things we pick up an automatic weapon and kill 1st graders. As a society we've lost our souls.

The sport of football that Urlacher loves so much only exists because of these fat, drunk idiots...his entire adult life has been bought and paid for by those fat, drunk idiots...

I can understand Urlacher not liking the boos...his complete lack of understand and sympathy as to why they are booing is what bothers me...

But sometimes frustration does...or at least that's the excuse used every time Jay acts up...

Booing millionaire football players does not equate to shooting little kids; why you would even try and connect the two is beyond me...

We seem to have lost our sensitivity and become more course as a society. It has become "all about me" in our society now. Like I said, I'm an old fart. There are things I see now that make me sad to see. It begins with little things, where I see our society degrading. Spoiled people. Uncaring people.

And yes, at the other end of the spectrum you see people shooting people. It really doesn't surprise me, just saddens me to see our nation degrading like this. I definitely see parallels. Heck people shoot each over now over driving habits - road rage.

One point (a positive) that I didn't mention, is that I like to believe most fans ARE better people, and are willing to give a man like Brian Urlacher a pass on this. I do believe most decent people are more forgiving of others, and are appreciative when folks give THEM a pass when THEY screw up too.

The idiots are the exception, not the rule IMHO.

Yeah booing is timeless. Hell, even in some theatre if your a heel your welcome the boos as long as they pay to see you.
Arguing on the internet is like winning the special olympics, even if you win your still messed up.

    Restore the roar!
