Yeah, us "fans" know more about football than a future hall of famer.

Attacking your fanbase is generally not a good PR move. Booing comes with playing pro sports just as much as the cheers. Do well, fans will cheer. Play like dog crap, fans will boo. Pay me the amount of money he gets paid and you can boo me all you want.

Considering the way the Bears have been playing recently...NEITHER fans nor Bears players know much about football...!!! Besides, the FANS pay his damn salary...!!! Come on, it is not as if they are 12-2 and we are booing...that would be different...

Sad to say but you ask for multi million contracts and fans who pay fourth highest tickets boo you //fans want a winner i'm sure brian wants the same//lovie's tender only once did da bears rank 16 in offense super bowl year//not rocket science here fix the offensive line and who ever calls the plays can have a chance to be successful//phil went a long way towards upgrading this team but only so much talent can be had with the cap//brian is right and i'm a contributor fans should show some patience not like we are cardinal fans//if you think the bears aren't playing look at the injuries enough said//this team is on the right tract support phil in signing more players via commercials or along with restructuring contracts bringing in at least two top offensive linemen to upgrade that area//our society worships greed and until we evolve beyond the love of one how can we move forward//support da bears

Fans can boo or not, and fans can be upset or not with Brian. It's not my way, but maybe I am overreacting. We're all pretty sick over the way the season has gone. It's just a devastating blow, to have the season tanking like this. Brian shouldn't diss the fans. I just personally give him a pass. Others can choose to get down on him for it.
To each his own.

If people on the bears dont like being booed they need to play harder and win, thats all it really comes down to. This isnt pee wee football where the score is magically tied at the end of the game. This is the NFL. Fans invest a lot of time in this sport, they enjoy the highs and they hate the lows. When a team is playing very well we cheer loudly for them. When the team doesnt seem to be trying towards the end and we constantly have the same problems we will boo. We have watched our team go form the number two spot in the playoffs to just being in contention now, but maybe we should do a nice round of applause for them cause we are not interested in winning right.

I don't think it's a situation where they are not playing hard.
We have bad coaching, no offensive line, talent woes from the Jerry Angelo era & devastating injuries. IF you want to boo the players for that, go right ahead. If you want to hate Brian Urlacher for that, go ahead. Hate.
Fans. You gotta love 'em.

Just for the record, the players need to know that the boos are not always for something THEY did wrong, but their coaches. It just comes down to consumers voicing their opinions over an inferior product. As far as Urlacher goes, I've given him a pass on this at least three times before. He has voiced his disregard and growing level of disdain for the fans, and I'm just tired of his story now too. I am grateful for all the great play and memories, but if the players show little respect for their fans, how can they expect a lot of respect in return.
Frankly, I was hoping he might be able to return next year as I really didn't want him to finish his career elsewhere. However, at this point, I could care less. Time to move on. You would never hear guys like Payton and Singeltary diss the fans in public, even if they thought it privately, which is why they are idolized throughout the entire fan base.
The Greatest form of revenge is MASSIVE success.

I think Brian needs a good blowjob to get his mind off the booing fans in the stands.
